Adtech Systems Ltd is a three-decade-old Indian integrator of electronic security systems - it buys sophisticated surveillance and access-control equipment from global manufacturers, then designs, installs and maintains those systems inside factories, offices and retail chains across the country. Founded in 1990 by three brothers who still own over two-thirds of the business, the company has always been a service-and-integration play rather than a manufacturer, earning its keep by stitching together imported hardware into working solutions and standing behind them with after-sales support. That same approach - partner with overseas technology principals, add integration and maintenance on the ground, and stay asset-light - now shapes everything from its core security business to a fledgling export push and a newly signed RFID venture with a German firm.
Business segments
Two engines at different stages - a mature security-integration business split across commercial and retail customers, and an early-stage solar vertical that is little more than a stated intention - both served by the same direct-sales backbone.
1. Electronic security systems: the integrator that keeps buildings and stores secure
The company does not make cameras or locks; it picks the right imported equipment for each project, installs it, and then earns recurring fees to keep it running - a service model built on long-standing relationships with global technology brands.
- Project work plus a maintenance annuity - revenue comes in two layers: a lump on supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a system, followed by ongoing maintenance contracts that generate repeat income from the same customer. The company also collects sales incentives from its overseas principals when it places direct orders, effectively a commission for the business it routes their way.
- Imported hardware, local integration - nearly all the equipment is bought from abroad, with import purchases running close to Rs. 97 million in FY25. An in-house R&D team then looks for cost-effective component swaps during integration, particularly on access-control systems, so the final solution is cheaper to deliver without sacrificing function.
- Awards that signal supplier depth - the company has won multiple “Partner of the Year” and “Outstanding Performance” awards from Mobotix (Germany), Invue (USA) and Tyco-Sensormatic over more than a decade, which tells a buyer that Adtech is a preferred route to market for several global brands.
- Early steps beyond India - export sales have begun to the UAE, Singapore, Malaysia and Sri Lanka, and the company is actively exploring new avenues to grow that international book. The export figure is still small - roughly Rs. 2.55 million in FY25 - but it signals an intent to replicate the integration model in nearby markets.
2. Solar projects: a declared vertical with no visible operations
The company lists a solar projects business in its segment reporting, but discloses nothing about what it builds, for whom, or at what scale - it is a placeholder, not yet a business an outsider can assess.
- Name-only disclosure - the solar vertical appears in segment notes across multiple periods, but no filings provide detail on the nature of the work, the customer base, the technology used, or any operational metrics. There is no mention of installed capacity, project sites, or revenue contribution.
- No manufacturing or EPC detail - unlike the security business, where the integration model is spelled out, the solar vertical carries no description of whether the company acts as an engineering contractor, a distributor of panels, or a developer of its own assets. The dossiers are silent on every operational dimension.
Group structure and partners
A standalone, promoter-held company with no subsidiaries, but a freshly signed German partnership points to where the next product line may come from.
- No corporate web - the company has no subsidiaries, joint ventures or associates, and holds no foreign investments or collaborations outside the newly signed MOU. It is a single legal entity, run by its three promoter brothers with a combined 63.98% stake.
- The Sys-pro GmbH MOU - in January 2025, Adtech signed a three-year memorandum of understanding with Sys-pro GmbH of Germany to jointly develop and market RFID (radio-frequency identification) products and solutions across India, the UAE and other agreed countries. Sys-pro will provide the technical, R&D and manufacturing muscle; Adtech will lead market development, playing the same go-to-market role it already plays for its security principals.
- A potential equity link - Sys-pro may consider taking up to a 10% stake in Adtech, subject to regulatory clearance, though no money or shares have changed hands yet and no joint-venture ratio has been set. If it happens, it would turn a commercial partnership into a capital relationship, but for now it remains an option.
- Lean leadership - the key managerial personnel are the Managing Director (one of the three promoter brothers), a Company Secretary and a Chief Financial Officer - a compact top team consistent with a single-entity, service-oriented business.
