CHL Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report

as of Jul 2026

  1. Dushanbe OTS unlocks subsidiary value - The USD 34 million one-time settlement with EXIM Bank crystallised the liability of CJSC CHL International and is under execution as of the March 2026 balance-sheet date. Removing this overhang lets the subsidiary's ₹4,095 Lacs FY25 turnover and the recently revalued building (up ₹529 crore) flow through to consolidated net worth without the debt discount.
  2. Delhi occupancy and rate lift - Average room occupancy at Hotel The Suryaa rose to 85.60% in FY25 from 81.12% in FY24, alongside a company ADR increase of 13.6% in FY24. High occupancy in a rising-rate market is the classic operating-leverage setup for a fixed-cost hotel asset, and FY25 EBITDA margin already expanded to 34.72% from 33.53%.
  3. Delhi debt nearly extinguished - Total debt at the Delhi property fell to ₹24.50 Lacs as of March 2025 from ₹252.89 Lacs a year earlier, with the gearing ratio dropping to 0.14%. With interest burden now negligible, incremental revenue gains drop almost entirely to the profit-before-tax line.
  4. Cash build-up funds renewal without fresh leverage - Cash and bank balances jumped to ₹3,766 Lacs as of March 2025 from ₹1,742 Lacs a year earlier, while capex on property, plant and equipment moderated to ₹722 Lacs. A self-funded renovation cycle can refresh room inventory and sustain the rate premium without diluting the clean balance sheet.
