Eiko Lifesciences Ltd Business Overview - SOIC x StockScans Report

as of Jul 2026

Eiko Lifesciences began life in 1977 as a Delhi-based investment company, but in 2020 it tore up that script entirely - changing its name, its purpose, and its main object to become a manufacturer of specialty and fine chemicals. It set up shop at a leased plant in Maharashtra and started commercial production that same year, building a business around in-house product development and a claim to being a pioneer in most of the molecules it makes. The recurring approach is visible across every subsequent move: identify a niche where specialized chemistry knowledge limits the competition, develop the product in-house, then either make it yourself or partner with someone who can - and use each new capability to open the next door, whether that means forward-integrating into finished-dose pharmaceuticals or backward-integrating into oleochemicals.

Business segments

Three engines at different stages - a specialty-chemicals core that designs and makes high-value molecules for global customers, a pharmaceutical-formulations bet that turns those molecules into finished tablets and capsules, and a logistics platform that moves containers for chemical and industrial shippers - each built by partnering rather than going it alone.

1. Specialty and fine chemicals: the knowledge-chemicals engine

Eiko makes molecules that other companies struggle to replicate - preservatives, emollients, drug intermediates, and oxidizing agents - and sells them to pharma, agrochemical, and personal-care customers in roughly eight countries.

2. Pharmaceutical formulations: forward integration into finished doses

Through its 51%-owned subsidiary SSM Formulations, Eiko is moving from selling chemical intermediates to selling the finished tablets and capsules that patients actually take - a WHO-GMP-accredited plant with narcotics licences and registrations across five African and Central Asian countries.

3. Logistics: a container platform built on a long-term contract

EikoVivify Logistics, a 51%-owned joint venture, leases and manages shipping containers - dry boxes, open-tops, flat racks, and reefers - and has already locked in a five-year service agreement that is expected to generate roughly ₹65 crore in revenue.

Group structure and partners

Eiko operates through a parent chemicals company, three subsidiaries at different stages of maturity, and two strategic pharmaceutical partners - a structure assembled almost entirely since 2023.
