Filtra Consultants & Engineers is a B2B one-stop shop for water treatment components - it buys, assembles and customises everything from dosing pumps to ultrafiltration membranes so industrial plants can get all their water-treatment hardware from a single supplier. Incorporated in 2011 and listed on the BSE SME Exchange, the company was built around the insight that India’s water-treatment equipment market is fragmented, and customers would rather deal with one partner who stocks the full range and can design a system around it than chase dozens of small vendors. That same approach - wide inventory, assembly capability, and a multi-branch network now supplemented by a B2B e-commerce platform - runs through everything it does.
Business segments
A single engine - component trading and customised systems - serving industrial OEMs and dealers across India through branches and a B2B digital platform.
1. Water treatment components and systems: the one-stop industrial supplier
The company stocks a broad catalogue of water treatment hardware, assembles customised plants, and sells to industrial buyers who want a single source for everything from membranes to metering pumps.
- Trading is the core - the main income comes from buying and reselling components such as Multiport Valves, Dosing Systems, Electronic Dosing Pumps, Pressure Vessels, Membranes, Cartridges, UV Purifiers, High Pressure Pumps, and online monitoring instruments.
- Assembly adds the custom layer - beyond pure trading, the company designs, assembles and repairs water treatment plants to customer specifications, including ultrafiltration plants built with Pentair Norit UF membranes and Norit Non-Submerged MBR Membranes for water recycle and reuse.
- A global membrane partnership widens the range - M/s Hydranautics USA appointed Filtra to sell its 4040 range of RO membranes and specialised NF, UF and RO process-separation membranes across India, which go into pharma (removing endotoxins from Water for Injection), sugar, textile, dye and dairy applications.
- Small spares keep customers coming back - the company supplies low-value spares and repair services that extend product life and reduce wastage, and has added new suppliers for small components that accompany high-value sales, improving service and generating repeat business.
- Branches plus a B2B portal - it reaches registered OEMs and dealers through physical branches in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Indore and Ahmedabad, and through a B2B e-commerce platform that it claims was the first of its kind among Indian water treatment companies.
Group structure and partners

- No subsidiaries remain - as of March 2025 the company has no subsidiaries, joint ventures or associates; its two former wholly-owned subsidiaries were dissolved or sold by March 2022, with negligible financial impact.
- Hydranautics is the anchor technology partner - the US membrane manufacturer appointed Filtra as its pan-India distributor for the 4040 RO membrane range and specialised process-separation membranes, giving the company a differentiated product line for high-end industrial applications.
- Promoter-led with deep industry experience on the board - Mr. Ketan Khant (Chairman and Managing Director) brought roughly 31 years of water-treatment marketing experience as of FY25; independent directors include a 30-year water-treatment industry veteran and an advisor to cleantech companies in energy and water.
- Listed on the BSE SME platform - the company trades under code 539098, with a paid-up capital of Rs. 10.96 crore comprising 1.09 crore equity shares of Rs. 10 each following a 1:3 bonus issue in July 2024.
