Gennex Laboratories Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report

as of Jul 2026

  1. Near-complete capacity expansion - Gross block rose to ₹41.2 cr as of March 2025 from ₹35.5 cr a year earlier on procurement of new plant and machinery, and management states the company is “on the verge of completion of the expansion plans undertaken”. Removing the capacity bottleneck lets the company handle more products and higher tonnages just as the subsidiary’s product slate widens.
  2. Preferential-issue funded API facility - The ₹73.8 cr raised via preferential allotment in FY24 is earmarked for modernising existing facilities and setting up a new API manufacturing unit or acquiring one. A new or upgraded facility directly expands the production base that the expanded product approvals can feed into.
  3. Promoter warrant conversion - Promoters converted 1.55 cr warrants into equity during FY26, bringing in ₹17.1 cr of the balance subscription, and a further 55 lakh warrants were converted in July 2025 by a promoter-group entity that now holds 21.83% of the company. The successive conversions inject equity capital and signal promoter commitment to funding the ongoing expansion.
  4. Export momentum - Standalone foreign-exchange earnings grew to ₹30.4 cr in FY25 from ₹21.1 cr in FY24, a 44% jump that coincides with the company holding EU Written Confirmation for three products and WHO-GMP certification. Certified, export-ready manufacturing opens a larger addressable market at potentially better realisations than the domestic bulk-drug trade.
  5. New product pipeline with dedicated R&D focus - The company has introduced competitive new products and a former Whole-Time Director has moved into a dedicated Operations and R&D role focused on new product development, while management is actively working to add more APIs to the manufacturing slate. A structured R&D effort replenishes the portfolio beyond the 42 products already licensed at the subsidiary.
