International Combustion (India) Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Aug 2026
- Heavy Engineering capacity expansion - Capacity investments in the Heavy Engineering and Bauer divisions are complete, with the company reporting higher growth in this division and improved capacity utilisation from a diversified product portfolio. With orders in hand that were previously stalled by the capital goods slowdown now executing, this division - FY26 revenue of ₹17,304 lakh at a 22.7% segment margin - is the clearest near-term earnings driver.
- IC TORQUE DRIVE industrial gear boxes - The new heavy-duty industrial gear box vertical, manufactured at the Aurangabad plant under the "Make in India" initiative, has launched and is seeing encouraging market response. Management expects this vertical to "contribute meaningfully" and emerge as an important profit contributor, adding a product line beyond the licensed Bauer geared motors.
- Bauer geared motor capacity +40% - Bauer Division capacity has been enhanced by 40%, with the capex programme completed and the division receiving steady demand from OEMs in steel, mining, power and material handling. The added capacity supports the FY26 revenue of ₹8,183 lakh, though the segment swung to a ₹325 lakh loss - the volume growth must now restore margins.
- Building Material CAPA exports to Europe - Cementos CAPA, the Spanish licensing partner, has started importing the company's dry mortar products for European markets, validating full conformity to the licensed technology. This export channel, alongside direct sales to large projects and new high-end waterproofing products, backs a segment that grew revenue 74% in FY26 to ₹4,368 lakh.
- Gear box division new leadership - Samrat Chakraborty joined as President & SBU Head of Geared Motors & Gear Boxes on 1 April 2025, filling a vacancy open since September 2024. A dedicated head after a seven-month gap signals focus on the segment that is investing for growth but currently loss-making.
