JCT Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report

as of Aug 2026

  1. CIRP resolution - 27 EoIs were received by 25 Aug 2025, 26 PRAs provisionally eligible, and resolution plans were opened on 19 Jan 2026 with an e-challenge negotiation process approved on 20 Mar 2026. A successful resolution would replace the current insolvency overhang with a new owner and fresh capital, resetting the entire earnings base.
  2. Phagwara textile expansion - The textile unit plans to upgrade spinning, weaving, processing and garmenting capacity, with garment capacity already increased. The plant ran at roughly 40% utilization in FY23 due to liquidity constraints, so any working capital revival under a new owner unlocks 6.3 crore meters of existing annual capacity without new capex.
  3. Nylon filament capacity additions - The unit plans to increase Mono, IDY, HOY/FDY and crimp/dyed yarn capacity and commission a new DT machine. Nylon filament is the company's most profitable segment - PBIT margin hit 9.81% in the latest reported year versus negative margins in textiles - so incremental tonnage flows straight to the bottom line.
  4. Non-core asset sales - The company is selling the Hoshiarpur unit in its entirety plus selected Phagwara assets, and signed an agreement in June 2023 for part of its non-core Hoshiarpur land. These sales generate cash to revive operations and reduce the liquidity squeeze that has kept both textile and nylon plants underutilized.
  5. Export push - Management is taking initiatives to increase exports of textile fabrics and filament yarns, targeting international markets in hank-dyed and dope-dyed segments. Overseas sales of ₹5,337.39 lakhs in FY23 leave room to grow a higher-margin channel as capacity utilization recovers.
