KVS Castings is a foundry that makes the metal bones inside trucks, tractors, trains and now electric vehicles - it pours molten iron into sand moulds to create precision components, then machines them to exact specifications, all under one roof. The company began in 2007 as a small hand-moulding shop serving sugar and cement mills, listed on the BSE SME exchange in October 2025, and in March 2026 doubled its capacity by opening a second automated plant. Its recurring approach is to earn a customer’s trust with one part, then expand into more of that customer’s vehicle - it started with tractors, added railways in 2021, electric vehicles in 2023, and is now developing artillery shells for the defence ministry.
Business segments
A single integrated foundry business - one roof, two plants, over 150 components - serving auto, farm, rail and industrial customers from the same sand-casting and machining line.
1. Ferrous casting and machining: a one-stop shop for metal components
The company takes a customer’s drawing, designs the pattern, pours the iron, machines the part and ships the finished sub-assembly - no outside workshop needed.
- Single-roof integration cuts time and risk - the Kashipur facility houses pattern design, moulding, melting, heat treatment, shot blasting and CNC machining in one location, so parts move straight from casting to finished component without leaving the building, reducing lead times and quality escapes.
- Two plants, 19,200 tonnes of annual capacity - Unit 1 (7,200 MTPA) has been running at roughly 76-85% utilisation over the past three years, while Unit 2, commissioned on 2 March 2026, adds another 12,000 MTPA of cast-iron and ductile-iron capacity, taking the total to 1,600 tonnes per month.
- Over 150 parts, from half a kilo to 95 kilos - the catalogue spans suspension brackets, brake drums, gearbox housings, pump bodies, steering housings and more, covering automobiles, farm tractors, energy equipment, industrial machinery and heavy equipment.
- Certified for the demanding customers - the company holds IATF 16949:2016 (the auto-industry quality standard), ISO 9001:2015, and RDSO approval, which lets it supply air-brake system parts and the casing and plunger used in shock-absorbing systems directly into Indian Railways locomotives and wagons.
- Auto is the anchor, but the mix is broadening - in FY25, auto components made up roughly three-quarters of revenue, farm tractors about a tenth, railways just under 9%, and the rest from industrial and other sectors; the top five customers together accounted for two-thirds of revenue.
Group structure and partners
KVS Castings is the foundry arm of a family-led group, run by a management team with decades of casting-industry experience.
- The company sits inside the KVS Premier Group, which also includes a steel business (M/s Kashi Vishwanath Steels Pvt. Ltd.) and a food business (M/s Devarpan Foods Pvt. Ltd.).
- In 2020, four investment and infrastructure entities merged into KVS Castings, consolidating the group’s structure ahead of its 2025 stock-market listing.
- Day-to-day operations are led by Managing Director Arpan Jindal (18-plus years in casting) and CEO Sanjay Agarwal (39-plus years in the casting industry), with a CFO of 38 years’ standing and a chairman with four decades in steel.
