Maximus International Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report

as of Aug 2026

  1. Quebec Petroleum 40% stake - Maximus signed an SPA on 23 June 2026 to buy 40% of Quebec Petroleum, a Vadodara lubricants maker with FY25 turnover of ₹184.73 crore, for ₹18.43 crore cash. That is roughly 90% of Maximus's own FY25 revenue, added as an associate whose profits consolidate - an instant India entry with an established distribution network.
  2. Kenya grease facility - Commissioning is planned for Q3 FY27 at the Kenya plant, with saponification and finishing kettles plus inline homogenizers. It targets the entire East African market, where few grease units exist, and opens toll-blending revenue for multinational brands.
  3. Modernization and expansion program - The UAE and Kenya plants are getting PLC-driven automated batch blending, high-speed filling lines, added tank farm capacity and warehousing, with CWIP up from ₹0.83 crore to ₹4.67 crore. Capacity utilisation is only \~45% of 50,000 KL, so the upgrade raises throughput on already-installed capacity before new capex is needed.
  4. Tanzania phased entry - Warehousing and distribution are proposed for Q3, with a blending plant - Maximus's second in East Africa - to follow once sales reach viable levels. A Tanzania distributor appointment is in final stages and expected next quarter, extending the Kenya plant's reach into a new market.
  5. Premium and specialty mix shift - Management is pushing higher-value products - specialty lubricants, petrochemicals and value-added solutions - across facilities, with specialties already \~40% of topline. The mix shift lifts realisations per litre on the same blending capacity, a direct margin lever.
  6. East Africa toll blending with MNC - Maximus is in talks with one multinational in East Africa for toll blending, and the Kenya grease facility is designed for such contracts. Management projects manufacturing plus toll blending at 75-80% of business within three years, up from today's blend of trading and manufacturing.
  7. GCC and North Africa exports - The company plans to raise export volumes from UAE units into Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain and North Africa. The UAE's "Make it in the Emirates" push favours local blenders over imports, and Maximus qualifies as in-country manufacturing.
