Oswal Overseas Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Jul 2026
- NCLT insolvency admission - The NCLT admitted L H Sugar Factories Ltd's Section 7 petition against the company on 08 June 2026, appointing an Interim Resolution Professional over a default of ₹2.44 cr. A successful resolution plan would bring in a new owner with fresh capital, extinguishing legacy cane arrears of ₹70.34 cr that triggered land and stock auctions and allowing the 3,500 TCD plant to restart crushing.
- Sugar capacity expansion and product upgrade - Management plans to expand sugar capacity at the Bareilly plant and add value-added products such as refined sugar, small packs, and sugar cubes to lift contribution. Moving from bulk raw sugar to branded consumer packs widens margins and reduces dependence on volatile mill-gate realisations, using abundant land already available at the existing site.
- New co-generation plant with carbon credits - The company is planning a bagasse/biomass-fired co-generation plant built through external resources, which would utilise capital assets during the off-season and qualify for the Carbon Credits Mechanism. A new power block turns a seasonal fixed-cost base into a year-round revenue stream, with carbon credits adding a secondary income line at zero incremental fuel cost.
