Rishi Laser Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report

as of Aug 2026

  1. Malur plant ramp-up - The Malur facility is fully operational with Caterpillar billing and shipments started, and FY27 revenue from this plant is guided at ₹60 crore, ramping to ₹100 crore by FY29. That is roughly 45% of FY26 revenue from one new plant, with break-even at ₹60 crore - so the guided FY27 level alone covers fixed costs and the incremental volume drops to the bottom line.
  2. Caterpillar volume increase - Management expects 15-20% higher business volume from Caterpillar in FY27, with all verticals discussing strong ramp-up for at least the first six months. Caterpillar is the largest customer and the anchor for Malur's ₹60 crore FY27 target, so this increase is the single biggest driver of near-term revenue growth.
  3. In-house paint shop - Phase one of the Malur paint shop went operational in June 2026, internalizing painting currently done outside and removing a bottleneck the customer insists be done in-house, especially for exports. This adds margin on finished assemblies and accelerates the Malur ramp-up, with phase two requiring only ₹2-3 crore more.
  4. Export share expansion - Exports reached 14.2% of revenue in FY26 (₹22.83 crore), with management expecting 40-50% of revenue from exports in about three years. Export margins run 3-5 percentage points higher than domestic, so every point of share shift lifts blended margins; Europe's high manufacturing costs are driving sourcing inquiries to India.
  5. Pune plant utilization - Pune revenue target for FY27 is at least ₹50 crore, up from ₹36 crore in FY26, implying roughly 80% utilization, with full capacity expected by Q3 FY27. The plant has capacity for ₹100-150 crore, so this is early in a multi-year fill-up that adds high-margin specialized welding work.
  6. Robotics business - Robotics revenue is targeted at ₹5 crore in FY27, up from ₹2 crore in FY26, with a possible revision to ₹10 crore if pipeline orders fructify by June-July. Inquiries are up 300-400% from March, and the division sells to construction equipment and automotive tier-1 customers at better margins than fabrication.
  7. New export customers - Two of three large export customers (one Australian, two US) have started supplies with commercial orders, and a new construction equipment export opportunity with two or three MNCs has potential business from Q3 FY27. Any one export customer can add ₹15-20 crore, roughly 10-15% of current revenue, at margins 4-5 points above domestic.
  8. Bommasandra refill - New customers are being onboarded at about two per month at Bommasandra, including EV and food processing equipment MNCs, to fill capacity released by Caterpillar's move to Malur. The plant will run at 40-45% capacity after the shift, and filling that gap over the next year adds revenue without new capex.
