1. Gas pipeline contracting: laying the pipes that fuel India’s cities

- The client list is concentrated and government-backed - major customers include Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), and the work sits inside a national push to more than double natural gas’s share of India’s energy mix and connect all states with trunk pipelines by 2027.
- An acquisition doubles down on the core - in March 2026, the company agreed to buy 71% of DS Pipeline Projects Ltd, a Delhi-based firm that lays the same kind of high-pressure steel and medium-density polyethylene pipelines, adding a business that generated ₹85 crore of revenue in FY25.
2. Telecom fiber and cable networks: the same skills, different trenches
The company also installs telecom towers and fiber cable networks, applying the same subcontracting-heavy, project-based model it uses for gas pipelines.

- A working hydrogen pilot in Gorakhpur - the 50% joint venture Rudra Gas Greenstat Hydrogen Private Limited, formed in July 2023 with Greenstat Hydrogen India Private Limited, is operational and generated ₹2.66 crore in revenue in FY25, though it was loss-making; its flagship project is a green hydrogen generation and blending plant at Khanipur CGS, Gorakhpur.
- Biogas with government backing - in January 2026, the company signed an MoU with the Government of Gujarat for a ₹30 crore biogas project expected to start in 2027 and employ about 125 people, with the state facilitating permits and clearances. It has also secured long-term contracts to supply compressed biogas to Gujarat Gas Limited (valid until December 2047) and GAIL (India) Limited.
- Subsidiaries waiting for the starting gun - Rudra Global Green Energy Private Limited (51% owned, incorporated January 2025) is meant to transmit and sell solar and renewable energy but had not commenced operations as of FY25. - A small stake in a hydrogen advisory firm - in June 2025, the company bought 2.5% of Greenstat Asia (Private) Limited, a Sri Lankan firm that does feasibility studies for green hydrogen projects and owns renewable energy infrastructure, though it too had not yet started trading.
