2. New API launches - R&D is developing processes for APIs treating hyperparathyroidism, convulsions, and asthma, with more ANDA filings planned. New products diversify revenue beyond glucosamine, which has seen sales fall for three straight years.
3. Geographic expansion - Management is targeting new countries in Africa, Europe, Israel, and the Middle East for its marketing network. Each new regulatory approval converts existing capacity into incremental export sales without added capex.
4. Cost efficiency programme - An "aggressive programme" targets process and production costs on key products to defend share against Indian and Chinese rivals. Lower costs protect margins - currently negative at the operating level - while the company waits for new markets to scale.
