- Viram Suvarn Ltd is a wholesale distributor of finished gold and silver jewellery that sits between Gujarat’s jewellery manufacturers and its retail shops - it buys readymade ornaments, bullion and silver, then sells them on to jewellers who put them in their windows. The company began life in 2011 as Veeram Securities Limited, briefly flirted with becoming a non-banking finance company, and in late 2025 renamed itself Viram Suvarn to make its identity unmistakable: this is a jewellery business, nothing else. Everything it does follows a single recurring logic - stay asset-light, buy from trusted local suppliers, sell only to trade buyers, and keep the overhead low enough to survive in one of India’s most fragmented and price-sensitive markets.
Business segments
A single wholesale engine serving jewellery retailers across Gujarat - no manufacturing, no retail storefronts, no other lines of business.
1. Wholesale gold and silver jewellery: the middleman that keeps the shelves stocked
The company buys finished ornaments and bullion from manufacturers and sells them exclusively to jewellery retailers in Ahmedabad and across Gujarat - it never touches the end consumer.
- Sourced, not made - every piece of jewellery the company sells is purchased readymade from manufacturers and independent wholesalers in Ahmedabad, Rajkot and Mumbai, or produced to order by local artisans working to customer specifications on size, design and finish. The company owns no plant or machinery because it does no manufacturing at all.
- Trade-only customer base - sales go exclusively to jewellery retailers, not to the public, which keeps the cost structure lean: no high-street rents, no walk-in staffing. The entire customer universe is the local jeweller’s market in Ahmedabad and the wider Gujarat trade.
- Gold-plus-silver mix - the product range spans gold and silver chains, bangles, necklaces, earrings, rings, mangalsutra and traditional ornaments, offered with or without stones such as Kundan and American diamonds, and priced across luxury, mid-market and value tiers. Alongside finished jewellery, the company also trades in gold bullion and silver, giving it two ways to capture demand when ornament buying slows.
- Bulk relationships, not walk-in trade - the company procures chains and jewellery in bulk from long-standing suppliers and extends credit to its retailer customers, creating a smooth payment cycle that small independent jewellers rely on. Loyalty programs and after-sales service are used to keep those retailers coming back.
Group structure and partners
A tightly held family enterprise with no subsidiaries - six directors, five permanent employees, and a promoter group that owns the majority of the shares.
- The company has no subsidiaries, joint ventures or associates; it is a single standalone entity listed on the BSE Main Board.
- The entire operation runs on just five permanent employees spread across corporate and retail functions.
- Two foreign institutional investors - Nomura Singapore and Resonance Opportunities Fund Mauritius - took small stakes in June 2022, but the promoter group remains firmly in control.
- The company also holds approximately 650 cottah of land at Sonarpur, Kolkata, which it may develop in the future - an asset unrelated to the current jewellery wholesale business.
