Archean Chemical Industries Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Aug 2026
- Bromine volume recovery - Production is back to 50-55 tons/day since mid-February 2026, with management targeting 20,000-25,000 tons annual run rate by end-FY27 versus 13,263 tons in FY26. That is a 50-90% volume jump on a product where the order book is full and realizations are holding near ₹300/kg.
- Bromine pricing reset - Long-term contracts covering \~70% of volumes were renegotiated upwards for the current year, with weighted-average realizations expected to stay near ₹300/kg despite softer spot prices. Q1 revenue was up 58% YoY on 50% higher realizations - the repricing is already in the P&L.
- Acume Chemicals ramp-up - The bromine derivatives subsidiary turned EBITDA positive for the first time in Q1 FY27 (₹1.9 cr vs −₹2.7 cr), with utilization at \~40% and management targeting 60-70% for FY27. A ₹170 crore rights issue funds the ramp; each utilization point flows largely to the bottom line.
- Salt logistics normalization - Road construction from Hajipir to Jakhau, Mundra and Kandla completes by end-September 2026, removing the \~₹200-220/ton transport cost increase that hit Q4 FY26. Management expects double-digit salt volume growth from Q3 FY27 once the longer haul route is gone.
- SOP scale-up - Phase 1 trials completed June 2026; Phase 2 trials target end-Q3 FY27, with full-year sales guidance of 9,000-10,000 tons versus 644 tons in FY26. At \~₹58,000/ton realization, that is roughly ₹55 crore of revenue from a plant that contributed ₹3.5 crore last year.
- Flame retardant bromine project - The 10,000 MTPA project is under evaluation with a 12-18 month timeline to commissioning, timed alongside the 40,000-ton bromine expansion. It converts captive bromine into higher-margin derivatives for the electronics sector, where government PLI schemes support demand.
- SiCSem semiconductor fab - Fiscal Support Agreement executed May 2026 formalizes government capex support; construction starts late-August 2026 with production targeted 24-27 months from FSA signing. This is India's first approved compound semiconductor fab - a new earnings leg entirely outside chemicals.
- Brine field expansion - Phase one is mostly complete, with commissioning possibly pre-poned to post-monsoons. It supports 10-15% salt capacity growth and provides more liquor for bromine - the upstream constraint on both core products.
