Apollo Micro Systems Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Aug 2026
- Premier Explosives acquisition - Apollo entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a 41.33% promoter stake in Premier Explosives for approximately ₹1,550 cr all-cash, funded by a \~₹3,300 cr raise. This puts Apollo across the full missile value chain - its electronics plus Premier's propulsion - toward complete in-house weapon manufacturing with no interdependency.
- QRSAM bulk production - Apollo supplies \~5 sub-systems per missile including the complete guidance system, and execution starts next financial year, making this the single largest disclosed program opportunity.
- IDL Explosives turnaround - IDL (acquired 100% for ₹107 cr, effective 17 Nov 2025) is expected to turn EBITDA-positive and PAT-positive from Q1 FY27, with a \~₹500 cr order book as of Dec 2025 including a ₹419.4 cr Coal India running contract. Management expects IDL to be "as good as or bigger than Apollo itself" after three years, with defence-grade explosive production starting within six months of Dec 2025.
- Unit III greenfield expansion - The 350,000 sq ft Hardware Park facility (₹250 cr capex) has partial production started, with full production expected before March '27 and export orders to be accepted once operational. This expands capacity to eight times the present facility and brings all test facilities in-house, eliminating DRDO dependence for testing.
- MIGM (Vighana) production order - DAC approval was accorded on 3 July 2026 with Apollo as DcPP partner and approved production agency; the Navy's total budget is ₹3,500 cr with Apollo expecting 70%, \~1,000 numbers over 3 years starting next financial year. Every aspect - fibres, electronics, explosives - is executed in-house, making this a full-platform revenue stream.
- Underwater mines portfolio - Apollo is the only Indian company with complete Shallow Water, Deep Water, and Limpet mine offerings; limpet mines completed all trials and orders may start from Q4 FY27, with cumulative immediate market size of ₹4,000-4,500 cr. One production order is expected very soon, and overseas offers are already submitted.
- IPREK / 500 kg smart bomb - The IAF awarded Apollo a Make-II Prototype Sanction Order as Prime Development Agency for the Indigenous Precision Range Extension Kit, converting 500 kg dumb bombs into precision glide weapons with 80-100 km standoff and 3-metre accuracy. Under Make-II, the government is committed to procurement upon successful demonstration, with 500+ units in initial procurement phase and a ₹20,000+ cr import substitution opportunity over 10 years.
- Export orders - Apollo received a maiden export order of US$13.37 million (\~₹113.81 cr) for advanced avionics development, plus a US$1.89 million order in Nov 2025, with meaningful breakthrough orders expected this financial year. Export revenue is currently nil and excluded from guidance, so any conversion is incremental to the base case.
- Akash-NG and Pinaka production - Akash-NG has 1,000 numbers cleared by MoD with >₹1 cr component per missile for Apollo, while Pinaka's 2,000 numbers have completed Army negotiation with Apollo's component size \~₹85 lakh per rocket. Both are near-term order conversions from programs where Apollo already supplies electronics and subsystems.
- SAVIOR-ASW prototype - The Indian Navy awarded a Make-II Prototype Sanction Order for Apollo's semi-submersible autonomous vessel for anti-submarine warfare, with government committed to procurement upon successful demonstration. This opens a new platform-level revenue stream in autonomous maritime systems, estimated at $10 Bn globally by 2032.
