Apollo Tyres Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Aug 2026
- India AP capacity expansion - The Board approved a ₹5,810 crore expansion at Andhra Pradesh adding \~0.37 crore PCR and \~0.13 crore TBR tyres annually, with completion by end-FY2029. India is running at \~91% utilisation, so this \~17-20% capacity increase is the main growth runway, with revenue starting FY28 and full benefit in FY30.
- Enschede closure margin recovery - Production at the Netherlands plant ceased June 30, 2026, with a €55 million cash payout already provisioned and benefits expected from H2 FY27. Europe EBITDA would have been \~11% without transition costs; management targets high-teens once the footprint is right.
- India price increases - Q1 FY27 saw \~7-9% price hikes, cumulative \~9% in TBR and \~11% in other categories, with further increases announced for Q2. With Q1 raw material costs up \~17% and \~15-16% total increases needed, the remaining 1-2 rounds protect margins through the cost cycle.
- Hungary PCR ramp-up - Hungary expands from \~17,000 to 21,000 car tyres/day, with production starting H2 FY27. This adds 4,000 tyres/day (\~24%) to serve non-UHP demand Europe previously sacrificed due to capacity constraints.
- Agri offtake partnerships - With Enschede's 20 tonnes/day agri capacity gone, \~20-25% of agri business now runs through two offtake partners, needing a couple of quarters to stabilise. This preserves a high-margin category that had no equivalent capacity available elsewhere.
- Vredestein premium mix shift - UHP mix in Europe reached 52% in Q3 FY26, up from 48% a year earlier, with Vredestein volumes at record highs. Europe PCR replacement is growing double-digit ahead of market, and the premium proportion is expected to keep rising.
- BCCI sponsorship rural demand - The ICC Women's T20 World Cup campaign generated over 22 crore consumer reach and 50 crore views across digital and broadcast platforms. This is pulling rural demand across PCR, two-wheeler and farm categories, where post-GST demand is accelerating.
- OEM approvals and EV fitments - Fresh OEM approvals secured from BMW, MINI, Genesis, KIA and Mahindra, including EV platforms, with Vredestein fitments on BMW X3 and Mercedes E-Class in India. These premium fitments lift the mix toward higher-margin UHP and luxury segments.
