Arman Financial Services Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report

as of Aug 2026

  1. Individual loan shift - Individual loans reached ₹964 crore, 32.9% of the consolidated portfolio, as of June 2026, up from ₹106 crore a year earlier, with 75-80% of collections via cashless UPI/NACH mandates. Management expects non-JLG products to grow "much, much faster" than JLG, and these loans carry better yields and lower delinquencies, lifting Namra's NIM, which improved to 15.37% in Q1 FY27.
  2. CGFMU guarantee coverage - Coverage reached \~94% of the eligible microfinance portfolio as of June 30, 2026, up from 34% in March 2025. With claims covering about 72% of losses, the guarantee cuts provisioning needs and protects earnings as the MFI book scales.
  3. Microfinance recovery - Namra returned to profitability with Q1 FY27 PAT of ₹30 crore versus a ₹28 crore loss a year earlier; AUM grew 39% YoY to ₹2,167 crore. Disbursements are running at ₹530 crore in Q1, and existing infrastructure supports ₹700-750 crore per quarter without new hires, so volume growth flows through to profit.
  4. MSME expansion - MSME AUM reached ₹573 crore as of June 2026, up from ₹468 crore a year earlier, with Q1 disbursements of ₹125 crore. It is the highest-ROA product, and the book can scale 20-25% without increasing opex, so growth drops straight to the bottom line.
  5. LAP scaling - LAP AUM grew from ₹28 crore in FY25 to ₹80 crore in FY26, with disbursements up from ₹27 crore to ₹69 crore; the product reached breakeven in FY26. Management expects 20-25% growth and says micro-LAP could surpass the MSME portfolio over 2-3 years, adding a secured, higher-ticket earnings leg.
  6. Opex reduction - Cost-to-income improved to 44.3% in Q1 FY27 from 51.7% the prior quarter; management targets 7% cost-to-assets for microfinance by March 2027. The MFI book can scale "quite a bit" before needing new hires, so revenue growth outpaces cost growth.
  7. Direct assignment income - Q1 FY27 gain on assignment was ₹733.90 lakh, more than double the ₹340.67 lakh a year earlier; FY26 gains were ₹2,978 lakh. Selling loans frees capital and generates fee income without adding balance-sheet risk.
  8. Debt cost reduction - Incremental borrowing cost fell to 11.7% in Q1 FY27 from 12.0% a year earlier, and management is approaching rating agencies for upgrades that could cut costs by 20-30 bps. Lower funding costs widen NIMs across the entire book.
  9. Uttar Pradesh expansion - The company expanded MSME operations into UP during FY26, opened branches, and plans more this quarter; LAP entry follows once MSME stabilizes. UP is a large, underpenetrated market, and the existing branch network can absorb the new geographies without proportional cost increases.
