Ashutosh Fibre Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Sep 2026
- Petlad capacity expansion - The company is spending ₹24.96 crore from IPO proceeds across FY26 and FY27 to add 1,250 MT of synthetic yarn capacity at its leased Petlad site. This addresses an existing supply shortfall where current output meets only 44% of estimated customer demand, expanding baseline synthetic capacity by 33%.
- Debt reduction from IPO proceeds - An allocation of ₹25.00 crore from fresh issue proceeds in FY26 will prepay bank borrowings carrying interest rates between 6.78% and 10.75% (p.97, p.101-103). This repays over half of the ₹47.94 crore total debt outstanding as of August 2025, lowering annual finance costs that reached ₹4.08 crore in FY25.
- Captive solar power substitution - A new 4 MW ground-mounted solar plant was commissioned in April 2025 alongside an existing 380 KW rooftop unit to supply captive electricity to the Petlad factory starting in FY26. Replacing grid electricity with captive generation lowers unit power expenses across continuous spinning operations.
- Specialty technical yarn mix - The company is adding milled acrylic, milled carbon, and core-spun yarns to its portfolio, following growth in meta-aramid blended yarn revenue to ₹14.41 crore in FY25. Adding these engineered products shifts production toward higher-value industrial and fire-resistant applications despite relying on imported raw materials.
- Proprietary aramid recycling - A regenerating facility recycles imported end-of-life para-aramid fabrics into reconstituted fibres for friction materials and protective wear, subject to export obligations (p.34, p.154-155, p.165). Re-spinning recycled fabric lowers raw material input costs and reduces dependence on expensive virgin imported aramid fibre (p.154-155).
- Poly-poly corespun import substitution - Ashutosh Fibre is commercialising polyester-core spun yarn to replace Chinese imports for Indian denim, workwear, and leather goods manufacturers. Capturing domestic substitution demand supports volume growth across key regional textile markets like Punjab and Gujarat.
- Military protective uniform exports - Total export revenue, including flame-retardant and meta-aramid yarns for foreign armed forces uniforms, reached ₹43.39 crore across markets such as China and Germany in FY25. Expanding overseas defence contracts provides steady volume demand, though recent international tariff changes create export margin risks.
