Borana Weaves Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Jul 2026
- Capacity doubling to 2,000 looms - Management targets doubling total looms from 1,000 to 2,000 over the next 24 months, with 1,500 looms expected by end-FY27 and planning complete through March 2028. At a capex of ₹350 crores to ₹400 crores, full utilisation generates 2-3x revenue, which on the current ₹389 crore top line implies a path to roughly double the company's scale from the existing asset base.
- Unit 4B fully operationalised - All 160 high-speed waterjet looms at Unit 4B were commissioned by 24 March 2026, adding \~5 crore metres of incremental annual capacity. Management expects these looms to contribute around INR60 crores to INR70 crores of incremental revenue per year at full utilisation by FY27, layering \~15-19% revenue growth onto the current base.
- Unit 4 ramping to full utilisation - Unit 4's 348 looms were fully operational by October 2025 and ran at 78.11% utilisation over the eight months to March 2026. Closing the gap to the 90% maximum achievable utilisation across the fleet adds volume without further capex, lifting blended utilisation and spreading fixed costs over more metres.
- Raw material cost tailwind - Cheaper Chinese raw material became available after BIS restrictions were removed in December 2025, with management expecting a better gross margin in Q4 FY26 versus Q3. Lower input costs on the existing revenue base expand gross margin before any volume growth from new looms kicks in.
- Product mix shift to value-added fabrics - Value-added products already represent 20-25% of production capacity, and the company plans to introduce RPU-coated fabrics and enter technical textiles. Moving the mix toward higher-realisations products lifts blended realisation per metre, which management expects to stay at ₹16-plus in coming quarters.
