BPL Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report

as of Jul 2026

  1. Reliance brand licensing at scale - The Reliance Retail partnership, now in its fifth year, delivered ₹24.7 cr in brand licensing fees in FY25, up 43% year-on-year, with Reliance operating over 8,000 consumer electronics outlets. This is a high-margin, asset-light revenue stream that already exceeds the company’s total EBITDA of ₹4.7 cr, making it the single largest contributor to earnings with no associated capex.
  2. Double-side PCB facility ramping up - The new double-side PCB line (24,000 sq.mts annual capacity) was commissioned and stabilised during FY25, driving a 14% revenue increase to ₹53.7 cr and entry into energy meters, solar heaters, IoT power supplies, and EV chargers. With the low-margin legacy business exited and multinational partnerships secured, the facility shifts the PCB mix toward higher-value segments that can lift segment margins from the current 3.5%.
  3. Multi-layer PCB expansion up to 14 layers - BPL is investing in advanced multi-layer PCB manufacturing with capabilities up to 14 layers and 3-mil trace/space technology to target the very high-end segment. This opens the addressable market to automotive electronics, 5G, and advanced medical devices where the USD 5.43 billion Indian PCB market is growing at 8% CAGR, and where IATF certification already gives BPL a qualified entry ticket.
  4. Automotive PCB qualification unlocked - BPL obtained IATF 16949:2016 and MACE (Maruti Centre for Excellence) certifications, both mandatory for supplying PCBs to the automotive electronics industry. These certifications remove the principal barrier to a large, sticky end-market where domestic sourcing is being pushed by anti-dumping duties on Chinese PCB imports.
  5. Supreme Court deposit funded without operational disruption - The ₹96 cr Supreme Court deposit was funded through a promoter share pledge to Claypond Capital Partners, with the Board also approving a ₹100 cr related-party funding envelope for contingencies. Management states the outflow will not materially impact operations, removing a near-term liquidity overhang that could have stalled the PCB expansion programme.
