AvenuesAI is a fintech company that has spent two decades turning the plumbing of digital payments into an AI-powered intelligence engine - it processes, routes and monetises transactions for millions of merchants, then feeds the data back into its own systems to make every future transaction smarter. It began as one of India’s first online payment gateways, listed in 2016, and has since shed non-core businesses to concentrate on a single idea: owning the infrastructure and the intelligence that sits behind every digital payment. That recurring approach - build the pipes, learn from the flow, then sell the insights - now runs through everything from fraud detection to consumer lending orchestration.
Business segments
Three engines at different stages - a payments infrastructure cash cow at national scale, a consumer internet platform being rebuilt as a fintech distribution layer, and an AI brain that optimises both - each feeding data into the next.
1. CCAvenue: the transaction infrastructure that everything else sits on
A payment factory that connects merchants to every Indian payment method, earns a fee on each transaction, and uses AI to route each one through the cheapest, fastest path - higher success rates mean higher margins.
- Licensed to acquire, online and offline - CCAvenue holds a Payment Aggregator licence from the Reserve Bank of India for digital payments, and since November 2025 also for physical point-of-sale aggregation, so it can serve a shopkeeper taking a card at a counter just as easily as a website.
- More payment options than anyone else - it offers over 200 choices including credit and debit cards, 58 net-banking links, UPI, wallets and multi-bank EMI plans, which means a merchant plugs in once and never loses a sale because a customer’s preferred method is missing.
- AI routing turns volume into margin - the platform’s CommerceAI decides in real time which bank or network to send each transaction to, lifting success rates and the net take rate (the money it keeps per rupee processed) from 5.8 basis points in FY22 to 11.7 basis points in FY25, because fewer failures mean less retry cost and more completed sales.
- Banks are customers, not just partners - CCAvenue white-labels its payment gateway to HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Kotak and J.P. Morgan India, and its on-premises card-processing software (CPGS) runs inside banks in Oman and Saudi Arabia, generating both annual maintenance fees and per-transaction revenue without needing its own gateway in those markets.
- International is the next leg - managed from a UAE subsidiary that became the second-largest non-bank private payment player within 18 months of entry, the international business targets 12-15% of payment net revenue by FY28, with Saudi Arabia going live this year and the US and Australia to follow.
2. Rediff: a consumer internet property turned fintech distribution engine
A 30-year-old web portal with 60 million monthly visitors that AvenuesAI bought for a modest sum and is converting into a low-cost customer funnel for payments, lending and business software.
- Bought, not built - AvenuesAI acquired a 54% stake in Rediff.com in August 2024 for cash not exceeding Rs. 25 crore, then increased its holding to 82.66% by selling its own e-commerce platform technology into Rediff in a Rs. 800 crore slump sale, effectively moving an existing asset into a consumer-facing vehicle.
- A logged-in audience in a post-cookie world - Rediff attracts roughly 38 million monthly visitors and its email service is used by over 5,000 companies, giving AvenuesAI first-party identity data and direct communication channels at a time when third-party tracking is disappearing.
- RediffPay turns visitors into account holders - with a Third-Party Application Provider licence from NPCI and Axis Bank as the banking partner, RediffPay is launching a UPI app that layers savings, investments and credit-line access on top of standard payments, targeting the existing 60-million-strong user base rather than paying to acquire new ones.
- RediffOne locks in small businesses - a cloud suite that bundles ERP, CRM, email and compliance tools with CCAvenue payments embedded by default, so a merchant who starts using it for invoicing is also processing through AvenuesAI’s pipes, creating a switching cost that pure software vendors cannot match.
3. Phronetic.AI: the intelligence layer that optimises the whole flywheel
Not a standalone product but an operational brain embedded inside payments and workflows - it decides which transactions to approve, which to retry, and which to flag as fraud, getting sharper with every decision.
- Real-time decisions at scale - Phronetic.AI runs across four domains: payment routing (approve or reject, route or retry), operations, customer communication, and risk and compliance, so the same models that catch a fraudulent card also nudge a customer to complete a dropped purchase.
- Agentic payments are the frontier - its PayCentral.ai platform, built on Google’s AP2 framework, lets verified AI agents initiate and settle payments autonomously, which matters because the company believes future commerce will be conducted machine-to-machine, not just human-to-merchant.
- Housed in a dedicated subsidiary - the AI business sits inside Nueromind Technologies, incorporated in GIFT City in late 2024, which keeps its intellectual property ring-fenced and allows separate investment and partnership structures.
Group structure and partners
A listed Indian parent with a web of subsidiaries that each hold a regulatory licence or a geographic beachhead - the structure is designed to turn permissions into products.
- The parent, AvenuesAI Limited (formerly Infibeam Avenues), is listed on the BSE and NSE, with promoters holding about 27% and the public the rest.
- International payments are routed through Avenues World FZ-LLC in the UAE, which received in-principle approval for a Retail Payment Services Category III licence from the UAE central bank in mid-2026.
- Go Payments (Instant Global Paytech, 55% owned) runs an assisted-commerce network of 110,000 kirana-store agents across 10,000 pin codes, offering money transfer, bill payment and prepaid cards to customers who may not have smartphones.
- IA Fintech IFSC, a wholly owned subsidiary in GIFT City, holds in-principle approval for escrow, cross-border money transfer and merchant acquisition services, positioning it for the growing flow of international trade settlement through India’s financial zone.
- The company has invested across the entire payments stack - acquiring (CCAvenue), issuing (Go Payments), network (SoHum Bharat) and remittance (Fable Fintech, a 41% associate used by nine of India’s top ten private banks) - so it captures value whether money moves between two Indian merchants or across 150 international corridors.
