Cemindia Projects Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Aug 2026
- Data centre vertical scaling - The data centre order book reached ₹4,154 cr (13.3% of total) by Q1 FY27, including ₹2,337 cr of Maharashtra works secured that quarter; civil is hardly 20% of data centre capex, with electromechanical balance coming in year two. At \~500 MW annual capacity and a 2-year build cycle, this vertical alone can drive order book and revenue mix toward management's 15% target within two years.
- Morsagar reservoir EPC award - Cemindia secured the ₹3,066 cr Morsagar Artificial Reservoir and Feeder construction in Rajasthan in Q1 FY27, after the \~₹6,500 cr group project was flagged as imminent in Q3 FY26. This single order is \~3x quarterly revenue and anchors the new Water and Wastewater vertical at ₹3,414 cr (10.9% of book).
- Adani captive EPC pipeline - Group orders of \~₹6,000 cr landed in Q1 FY27 alone, taking Adani's share of the ₹31,000 cr backlog to \~53%; management expects group inflow share of 20-25% going forward. With a \~₹90,000 cr bid pipeline and group prospects across airports, ports, data centres and industrial capex, the promoter relationship is the structural growth engine.
- Underground metro expansion - Two new metro jobs secured in Q1 FY27 - Pune (under mobilization) and Delhi underground at ₹1,024 cr - with the Urban Infrastructure order book at ₹6,494 cr (20.7% of total). Government shift from elevated to underground metro plus a \~₹1 lakh cr tunnel market gives this segment multi-year visibility.
- Marine bid pipeline - The marine order book stands at ₹7,258 cr (23.2% of total) with a \~₹15,000 cr bid pipeline including Vadhvan, Oman, UAE, Bangladesh, Tuticorin and Vizag. With only \~3-5 serious players in this segment, win rates on large-ticket port jobs can move the book materially.
- SAIL Burnpur steel structures - The ₹1,398 cr civil and structural works order from SAIL at West Bengal Burnpur was secured in Q1 FY27, after being L1 in Q4 FY26. It anchors the Industrial Structures book at ₹5,314 cr (17.0% of total) and diversifies revenue away from Adani-dependent segments.
- QIP fundraise of ₹5,000 cr - The Board approved raising up to ₹5,000 cr via QIP or other modes, with an EGM scheduled for August 17, 2026. Management says organic capex for large jobs could need ₹4,000-5,000 cr depending on orders won - the raise funds the next leg of growth without straining the 0.42 D/E balance sheet.
- Pumped storage hydro entry - Pumped storage hydro is a stated focus for FY27 order inflow, with big Adani-linked jobs expected to mature. The current Hydro order book is just ₹760 cr (2.4% of total), so even one large PSH award would be a step-change for this segment.
- TBM fleet expansion - New TBMs are being bought for Pune and Delhi metros, with large-diameter machines planned if road tunnel work lands; FY27 capex guidance is ₹350-400 cr, potentially higher for exceptional tunnelling jobs. Owning the equipment lets Cemindia bid larger, more complex tunnel packages and protects margins on the metro pipeline.
