Century Extrusions Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Jul 2026
- Kharagpur brownfield expansion (9,000 MTPA) - A new extrusion press adding 9,000 MTPA at the existing Kharagpur plant is in final-stage setup, with commercial production expected from June 2026. This lifts total capacity 60% to 24,000 MTPA, removing the single-site bottleneck that capped output near 15,000 MTPA and opening room for volume-led revenue growth from a funded, near-complete project.
- Rights Issue - ₹45 crore - The Board approved a ₹45 crore rights issue in February 2026, with the Draft Letter of Offer filed in April 2026 and in-principle listing approvals from BSE and NSE received. The capital infusion funds the ongoing expansion and strengthens the balance sheet, reducing the need for incremental debt as capacity comes online.
- Greenfield expansion - Jharsuguda (30,000 MT) - An MOU has been signed with the Government of Odisha for a 30,000 MT aluminium extruded products plant in Jharsuguda district. The Odisha site places production adjacent to raw-material sources, which can structurally lower billet-logistics costs and support a second large-scale manufacturing base beyond Kharagpur.
- Power T&D supplier registrations - The company registered as a supplier with multiple State Electricity Boards during the year and has received substantial orders from SEBs, Powergrid, and transmission utilities. These registrations convert a capex-heavy public-infrastructure demand theme into a recurring order stream for bus bars, clamps, and line hardware.
- Automotive value-added assemblies - IATF TS16949 certification is now in place, and the company is increasing its mix of value-added assemblies such as ABS/ESC brackets, fuel rail systems, and battery enclosures for Tier-I automotive customers. Shifting the product mix toward machined and assembled components raises per-kilogram realisations and margin potential versus plain extruded profiles.
- Emerging segments - solar, metro, EV, defence - The company is pursuing deeper engagement in solar mounting systems, metro rail projects, EV substructures, and defence applications, supported by AS9100D aerospace certification and R&D on new alloys. These segments demand higher-specification profiles and safety-critical qualification, creating stickier revenue with fewer competing suppliers.
