Confidence Petroleum India Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Aug 2026
- Auto LPG network expansion - CPIL runs 315+ GoGas Auto LPG stations and targets 75 new ones in FY27, then 100 more in FY28, toward a 500-station network. Auto LPG carries the company's highest EBITDA margins, needs less capex than fuel outlets, and pays back in under 18 months.
- CNG Bengaluru scale-up - 50 of 100 contracted GAIL Gas CNG stations are live, doing \~3 lakh kg/day versus 500-800 kg/day at launch, with the remaining 50 on track shortly. Each new station cuts transport cost and lifts margin on volume that has already proven demand.
- Packed LPG (GoGas) penetration - With 3,150+ dealers and \~18,000-20,000 metric tons sold monthly, CPIL is expanding bottling plants and D2C supply to HoReCa and industrial customers. Packed LPG is a top-margin segment, so wider geography and deeper dealer reach convert directly into earnings.
- Type 4 cylinder plant start-up - The Butibori plant is fully installed and waiting for the order book to start, expected operational in 1-2 months. Type 4 cylinders are 70% lighter than metal, letting CPIL sell into CGD players, fleet owners, and OEMs replacing Type 1/2 cylinders.
- Direct LPG imports via Dubai subsidiary - CPIL imports LPG directly from Middle East refineries and is incorporating CONFIDENCE LPG TRADING FZCO in Dubai to run the trade. Sourcing directly, with two time-chartered vessels, cuts out trader margins and secures supply for the bottling and retail network.
- LPG bottling plant expansion - CPIL operates 68 plants, won three PSU bottling tenders in FY25, and keeps adding facilities in new geographies. More plants mean shorter supply routes, lower transport cost, and higher throughput for the largest private bottler in India.
- Cylinder manufacturing for PSUs - With 15 plants supplying IOCL, HPCL, and BPCL, CPIL meets both its own GoGas needs and PSU orders. Plants sit close to customers, so faster turnaround and lower logistics cost support margin on a steady, contracted revenue base.
- High-pressure cylinder demand - Three subsidiaries make seamless CNG/industrial cylinders for customers including TVS Motors, BPCL, IOCL, and Thermax. Robust demand for CNG cascades and onboard cylinders adds a second manufacturing leg beyond LPG cylinders.
