Waterways Leisure Tourism Limited Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Aug 2026
- Fleet expansion - Cordelia Sky & Sun - Cordelia Sky arrives in Mumbai on October 15, 2026, with its maiden voyage October 23; advance bookings already total ₹65 crore, implying ₹110-115 crore revenue from shorter sailings. Sky offers almost 269 suite and balcony cabins versus Empress's 69, and adds 200 cabins, with management targeting nearly 100% higher revenue per ship.
- International sailings expansion - East Coast Maldives and Columbus sailings start October 2026, with four more West Coast international monsoon sailings added from 2027. These target Indian cruise lovers and expats, opening a new demand pool beyond domestic routes and using ships during the off-season.
- Fleet operating cost leverage - With Sky joining in September, fixed shore-side marketing and management costs split across two ships, then three, while purchasing power rises. This directly lifts EBITDA margins on the existing Empress base even before new-ship revenue ramps.
- Empress like-for-like growth - Management expects Empress occupancy-driven revenue growth to accelerate from 8-9% to 10-12%. At current revenue of roughly ₹580 crore, each percentage point adds about ₹6 crore of top line with minimal incremental capex.
- Direct sales expansion - Cochin center - A new Cochin sales center opens September 2026 to deepen direct bookings and multilingual guest engagement. Direct sales carry higher margins than agent-led bookings, and Cochin is a key embarkation port for the new East Coast international sailings.
- Loyalty program - Chairman's Club - Rollout expected by end of Q2 FY27. A cruise loyalty program drives repeat bookings and reduces customer acquisition costs, which are among the largest variable expenses in cruise operations.
- Lakshadweep expansion - Adding two new islands to the existing Lakshadweep itinerary. New destinations differentiate the product and support premium pricing on the high-demand West Coast routes.
