- Full-year financial performance: Coromandel achieved a record full-year turnover of ₹32,000 crore with an EBITDA of ₹3,232 crore, while Q4 revenue grew 20% to ₹6,004 crore and EBITDA rose 16% to ₹492 crore. Modest Q4 net profit of ₹115 crore reflected a ₹71 crore investment impairment provision compared to a ₹300 crore-plus property sale gain in the prior-year period.
- Raw material sourcing: Despite sharp price surges in ammonia, sulfur, and urea exacerbated by the West Asia crisis, the company maintained 100% plant operating capacity by procuring from alternate sources in Southeast Asia, Canada, Russia, and China. Management confirmed that raw material requirements are reasonably covered for the first quarter of the Kharif season.
- EBITDA per ton: Annualized EBITDA per ton averaged ₹5,000 to ₹5,500 despite fourth-quarter margin compression driven by sudden raw material cost spikes that were not immediately offset by subsidies. Value addition from the newly commissioned phosphoric acid backward integration project is expected to kick in during the current year as conditions normalize.
- Monsoon demand outlook: Management anticipates no significant demand disruption for fertilizers or agrochemicals from a projected 5% to 10% monsoon deficit (90% to 95% of the long period average), citing spatial distribution and crop switching as key mitigators. Moderate rainfall pauses during the season are also expected to support agrochemical product application.
