DE Nora India Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Jul 2026
- Warranty provision normalisation - The ₹14.4 cr warranty provision taken in FY25 was the primary driver of the profit decline that year, and the closing provision balance now stands at ₹14 cr. As this one-time charge rolls off, reported earnings mechanically revert toward the underlying operating performance of the Electrode Technologies segment, which delivered 36% PBIT margins in the latest period.
- Chlor-alkali end-market growth - The Alkali Manufacturers Association of India projects the domestic chlor-alkali industry to grow at a 6.7% CAGR from FY 2022-23 to FY 2027-28, driven by steady demand from textiles, alumina, pulp and paper, and pharmaceuticals. Since the company’s recoating business supplies the installed base of membrane-cell electrolysers in this industry, sustained capacity utilisation directly lifts the recurring recoating cycle that contributes the major share of total income.
- South East Asia expansion - Management is actively expanding the company’s presence across South East Asia, calling it a key growth region. Adding customers in a new geography diversifies revenue beyond the domestic chlor-alkali cycle and taps a wider installed base of membrane-cell plants that will need recoating services.
- Vadodara mechanical repair workshop - The company has signed an agreement to use a newly established workshop near Vadodara dedicated to mechanical repairs of electrodes for the local chlor-alkali market. This adds a service line that captures wallet share between full recoating cycles and strengthens the company’s position in the western region’s concentrated chlor-alkali cluster.
- Parent RPT scale-up signals volume growth - Related-party transactions with Industrie De Nora S.p.A. are expected to cross 10% of the company’s turnover in FY27, up from ₹6.8 cr in FY25. A rising run-rate of technology licensing and service fees paid to the parent typically tracks higher underlying order and coating activity, since the fees are tied to proprietary technology used in the company’s core electrode work.
