Divis Laboratories Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report

as of Aug 2026

  1. Three dedicated CS projects - All three SEBI-disclosed custom synthesis projects have cleared validation, with product already shipped to customers under validation; commercialization is expected in Q3-Q4 calendar 2027, subject to customer regulatory approvals. These are long-term supply commitments across all three units, backed by a \~₹2,000 cr capex programme that is \~70% capitalized - the single largest near-term revenue step-up on the books.
  2. Peptide manufacturing scale-up - A dedicated peptide building block with commercial-scale SPPS reactors is complete, validations are ongoing, and the company is adding 3,000-litre reactors on a strong opportunity pipeline; management targets being "one of the largest global players" in peptide fragments. Multiple fragments are already being validated and supplied across Big Pharma customers in Phase I-III programmes, with long-term contracts in place for GLP-1, GIP and GLP-2 molecules.
  3. Iodine-based contrast media - Commercial sales are already underway in "several multiples of tons" to innovators, with long-term multi-year contracts in the process of being signed for two customers - one commercialized, the second starting within months. This is a new therapeutic category with substantial contracted volumes, moving from validation to recurring revenue now.
  4. Peptide backward integration - The company manufactures its own Fmoc-protected amino acids and building blocks in-house; demand has scaled from a few hundred kilos for validations to multiple tens of tonnes per individual amino acid. This protects margin as peptide fragment volumes ramp, and creates a second revenue stream supplying other fragment manufacturers.
  5. New DMF filings - \~4 DMFs filed in recent years, including Brivaracetam and Ticagrelor, with validation quantities supplied and commercial volumes expected in 3-6 months post customer qualification. These add to the generic portfolio ahead of the 2030 patent cliff, where \~200 originator molecules lose exclusivity.
  6. Nutraceuticals expansion - The segment grew to ₹298 cr in Q1 FY27 from ₹250 cr a year earlier, with FY26 revenue of ₹946 cr; the portfolio has expanded from 2 to over 100 products across human and animal health. This is a steady, high-margin second leg that continues gaining market share with capacity expansion underway.
  7. Technology platforms - Continuous flow chemistry, biocatalysis and process intensification have moved into commercial manufacturing across all three units; electrochemistry and mechanochemistry are being commercialized. These platforms improve process safety and productivity, supporting the CDMO pitch to innovators prioritizing EHS and reliable execution.
