Doms Industries Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Aug 2026
- Umbergaon greenfield ramp - The 50-acre project's first 300,000 sq ft building is expected to commission by end of Q2 FY27, with new buildings received every quarter and \~90 days to commercialize. This doubles manufacturing space and can supply \~₹500 crore of products in FY27, with a large part of H2 growth expected from these facilities.
- Reynolds brand acquisition - The $3.7 million asset purchase completed July 1, 2026, bringing the Reynolds brand with \~₹130-140 crore prior-year sales and a parallel office-segment distribution. Management expects Reynolds to contribute close to 10% of overall revenues by FY29 at the company's \~16% EBITDA margin structure.
- Pen capacity expansion - Combined pen capacity is expected to reach \~0.5 crore pens/day by end of FY27, up from \~0.3 crore, with the entire previous tranche already in production. This removes the capacity constraint that has kept office-supplies sales from ramping to the full distribution network.
- In-house pen tip manufacturing - A Swiss-imported tip plant is installed with more machines ordered to make \~30-40% of tip requirements in-house over the current and coming calendar year. This backward integration targets a component currently imported, with the Reynolds supply agreement covering tips in the interim.
- Uniclan baby hygiene scale-up - The third diaper line (commissioned December 2024) took annual capacity to \~65 crore pieces, with FY26 revenue at \~₹203 crore, up 23%. Management targets \~20% revenue growth and 10% EBITDA margin long-term, versus 8.6% in FY26, with Q2 seasonality improving fixed-cost absorption.
- F.I.L.A. distribution expansion - The distribution agreement has initiated DOMS-branded exports to Chile, Mexico, Canada, Europe, Turkey, South Africa, and Australia, with Chile seeing repeat orders. New pencil capacity will feed inter-company exports, with certain US orders postponed and capacities diverted to other growing markets.
- Wooden pencil capacity and share - Pencil capacity is expected to rise from \~0.55 crore to \~0.8 crore pieces per day over the next couple of years, with the treatment plant already started up. Management expects market share to move from \~35% toward \~45%, with \~25-30% of pencil sales already exported.
- Seven SpA joint venture - The 50:50 JV with Seven SpA (F.I.L.A. Group) is expected to form by September 30, 2026, focusing on backpacks and bags for global F.I.L.A. supply plus the Indian market. Seven brings €9 crore revenue, 6,000+ retail points, and 60+ patents, with manufacturing at Umbergaon.
- Pioneer paper stationery consolidation - DOMS completed the purchase of the remaining 6.5% of Pioneer on March 31, 2026, taking holding to 64%, with two automatic book lines already nearly doubling capacity. Pioneer's FY25 operating profit grew 15% to ₹22.79 crore, and the third line added another \~20% capacity.
- GST-driven organized shift - Products moving to 0% GST contribute \~45% of FY25 sales, with primary-level pricing up \~3-4% post-transition. The rate cut levels the playing field against unorganized players, shifting demand toward branded products as the new capacity comes online.
