Elgi Rubber Company Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Jul 2026
- Sriperumbudur plant ramp-up - The new Sriperumbudur tyre reclaim facility is expected to complete process modifications and environmental controls by Q3 FY26, enabling full-fledged operations. Management expects profitability to improve steadily over FY26-FY28 as this plant stabilises and capacity utilisation rises, directly addressing the negative EBITDA reported at the group level.
- Trichy Road land sale - The company completed the sale of 75 cents of land at Trichy Road, Coimbatore, on 25 June 2026 for ₹43.5 crore, with the Board having approved sale of the full 7.24-acre parcel to reduce debt. Cash proceeds cut the ₹313 crore debt load and the associated interest cost that has been a drag on earnings.
- Chengalpattu land and investment sales - Member approval was obtained in November 2024 to sell 5.20 acres of land in Chengalpattu district and to dispose of non-current investments (excluding subsidiaries) on the open market. These additional non-core asset sales would bring further cash for debt reduction, following the same playbook as the Trichy Road transaction.
- Export volume momentum - Standalone revenue grew 7.21% in FY25 to ₹227.23 crore, driven by higher volumes and realisations in Whole Tyre Reclaim, Envelope, and Bonding Gum, with export markets in Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America flagged as significant growth opportunities. A sustained export push builds on a demonstrated demand trend and improves the standalone revenue mix.
- Netherlands subsidiary revival - The Netherlands subsidiary faced challenging Western European markets but major revival activities are now in place, with increased orders from existing and new customers and entry into new markets. A turnaround in this subsidiary would reverse a source of group-level drag at a time when the step-down Rubber Resources B.V. has already been liquidated and fully impaired.
- Rubber Resources B.V. liquidation completed - The loss-making step-down subsidiary Rubber Resources B.V. filed for bankruptcy on 26 January 2026, and the company had already recognised a full impairment of its investment and loans in the December 2025 quarter. The liquidation removes a cash-draining entity from the consolidated perimeter, stopping the operational losses and EUR 3.57 million credit exposure that weighed on group margins and net worth.
