Envirotech Systems is an acoustic engineering firm that has spent nearly three decades turning the niche discipline of noise control into a full-service industrial business - and is now taking that expertise directly into Indian homes. Founded in 1997 and built as a project-based manufacturer for factories, power plants and defence establishments, the company has recently crossed over into the consumer market with a premium soundproof-doors brand and an online acoustic-products store. The recurring pattern is vertical integration: it researches, designs, fabricates and installs almost everything in-house, which lets it customise solutions for a diesel-generator enclosure or a parliament chamber using the same plants and people.
Business segments
A single manufacturing engine serving three customer fronts - a project-driven industrial and defence core, a commercial built-environment practice, and an early-stage retail brand - all fed by the same three factories and in-house R&D.
1. Industrial and defence projects: the factory floor and the bunker
Custom-engineered acoustic structures - from turbine enclosures to blast-resistant doors - sold on a project basis to heavy industry and the defence establishment, where every order is a made-to-measure installation.
- Built to the machine, not to a catalogue - the company designs and fabricates acoustic enclosures around specific equipment such as gas turbines, compressors, CNC machines and forging hammers, with project values ranging from about Rs 20 lakh to Rs 3 crore and small jobs turned around in two to four weeks.
- Defence is the high-margin anchor - blast-resistant doors and noise-test chambers for ammunition storage and engine testing are supplied to DRDO labs, HAL and Bharat Electronics, and the defence segment alone contributed roughly 30% of revenue in FY24.
- The site is part of the product - the company does not just ship components; it provides full design, delivery and on-site installation, including structural steelwork for noise barriers along roads, metro lines and airport boundaries, using its own trained erection crews.
- Steel is the backbone - products are fabricated in-house from carbon steel, stainless steel and alloy steel, filled with sound-absorbing materials such as rock wool, and tested at every stage in the company’s own measurement facility, so no complete solution is outsourced.
- Repeat customers, not one-off sales - regular clients include Indian Railways, BHEL, NTPC, Tata Projects and Suzuki, and the order book stood above Rs 30 crore as of May 2026, fed by both recurring small jobs and large single tenders exceeding Rs 10 crore.
2. Commercial and architectural acoustics: the built-environment practice
The same project-based, custom-manufacturing model applied to spaces where people work, watch and listen - offices, studios, auditoriums and hotels.
- Rooms treated as acoustic instruments - the company supplies ceiling panels, wall panels, micro-perforated absorbers and sound-masking systems designed for specific venues such as cinemas, home theatres, nightclubs and worship centres.
- Consultancy is a separate revenue line - acoustic consultancy is offered as a chargeable service in both industrial and commercial segments, meaning the company gets paid to diagnose the noise problem before it ever fabricates a solution.
- The same factory, a different finish - commercial products are fabricated on the same manufacturing lines and installed by the same direct-sales project teams that serve the industrial engine, so the architectural business adds volume without duplicating overhead.
3. B2C retail: the soundproof home
A newly launched consumer front - premium soundproof doors and windows under the brand Envirotech Mute, plus an e-commerce site selling acoustic panels and foam - that takes the company’s industrial know-how into the residential market.
- From factory gate to front door - the Envirotech Mute brand targets homeowners and commercial premises seeking noise control, and the company is building a pan-India distributor network to carry these products rather than selling them project-by-project.
- An online store for DIY acoustics - Acousticsnest.com sells wall, ceiling and floor acoustic products directly to consumers, with best-sellers including PU foam in wedge, pyramid and egg-tray profiles, making sound treatment accessible without a consultant.
- Sourced today, made tomorrow - the B2C vertical currently relies on external suppliers while an in-house production line is being developed, and the company is already working on additional consumer verticals beyond doors and windows.
Manufacturing and technology backbone
Three plants on one industrial estate, plus exclusive research partnerships, give the company capacity headroom and a pipeline of proprietary products that none of its segments could sustain alone.
- Exclusive technology from Taiwan - a collaboration with CKM Taiwan provides access to ultra-micro-perforated aluminium panels with high sound-absorption properties, a material edge tied to the original two plants.
- Two national labs, two future product lines - an MoU with CSIR-NPL is developing a photovoltaic noise barrier that generates electricity while blocking sound, and an MoU with IIT-Delhi is turning agricultural and plastic waste into acoustic materials, with Envirotech handling manufacturing and commercialisation in both cases.
- Certified for the high-rise market - the company holds CBRI certification from IIT Roorkee for its fire-rated doors, a mandatory qualification for selling to builders of tall commercial and residential structures.
Group structure and partners
A single listed company with no subsidiaries - two promoters, three plants, two consumer brands and three research partners, all held directly.
- The company operates entirely as one legal entity with no subsidiaries, associates or joint ventures; the three Kasna plants and the Envirotech Mute and Acousticsnest.com brands all sit under Envirotech Systems Limited.
- Promoters Manoj Kumar Gupta (Managing Director, 48.68%) and Sindhu Gupta (Whole Time Director, 20.06%) together hold roughly 69% of the equity as of March 2025.
- Key research alliances are with CKM Taiwan (exclusive acoustic insulation products), CSIR-National Physical Laboratory (photovoltaic noise barriers) and IIT-Delhi (waste-material acoustics), each structured with Envirotech as the manufacturing and commercialisation partner.
