Epack Durable Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report

as of Aug 2026

  1. Hisense Sri City ramp-up - Mass production of RACs for Hisense began March 30, 2026, at the dedicated Sri City facility, with 60,000 ACs shipped in the Jan-Jun 2026 season and Q1 FY27 revenue of \~₹65 cr from ACs alone. Phase 2 washing machines and Phase 3 TVs follow in Q2-Q3 FY27, with management guiding 5-year cumulative revenue of ₹8,000+ cr from this partnership.
  2. AP Mega Category incentives - The Andhra Pradesh government approved a 50% capital subsidy on ₹1,084 cr of combined investment by EPACK and EMTPL, with 36.41 acres allotted at ₹60 lakh per acre. This effectively refunds \~₹540 cr of the capex already committed, directly improving returns on the Sri City expansion.
  3. SDA/LDA diversification - SDA & LDA revenue grew 68.9% YoY to ₹131 cr in Q1 FY27, led by air-fryers and washing machines, with gross margins 1.5-2 points above AC. Management targets these categories to neutralise the historically loss-making Q2/Q3 AC off-season within 4-6 quarters.
  4. Washing machine ramp-up - Top-load fully automatic machines are in production serving three national brands, with front-load pilot production starting end of Q2 FY27 and mass production targeted for September/October. Installed capacity of 0.07 crore units with approvals and field trials complete positions this as a new revenue leg after the \~3-quarter delay.
  5. Components backward integration - In-house component production reached 50-55% of value, with the components segment growing \~50% YoY in Q4 FY26 on localization demand. Component gross margins of 16-18% versus 14-15% for RAC materials mean every percentage point of substitution lifts blended margins.
  6. Epavo BLDC motor JV - The 50:50 JV with Ram Ratna Wires started production in September 2025 at its Bhiwadi facility, with 0.3 crore motor annual capacity for ACs and 0.1 crore for ceiling fans. With approvals from all key customers secured, the \~₹100 cr investment replaces imported motors and feeds both captive and external demand.
  7. Capacity utilisation recovery - Sri City utilisation improved from under 25% to \~50% in Q1 FY27, with management targeting 55-60% by end of FY27 and overall plant utilisation above 60%. Each point of utilisation on already-built capacity drops straight to operating leverage, with asset turnover targeted to recover from 2.6x toward 4x.
  8. PLI final-year reversal - FY27 is the last year of PLI eligibility (\~₹60 cr), and management has started rolling back PLI discounts to customers, expecting to almost completely reverse the pass-through by year-end. This recovers 1.5-2% of revenue that was previously shared with customers, lifting margins even as the incentive itself phases out.
  9. ECMS component entities - Two new subsidiaries - Bumjin Audio Products (TV speakers, microphones) and EPACK Components - are under setup under the new Electronics Component Manufacturing scheme notified April 2025. These open a second components growth vector beyond AC parts, funded under the existing capex programme.
  10. FY29 revenue target - Management reiterates a \~₹5,000 cr revenue target in 2-3 years, up from ₹2,118 cr in the last reported year, and says it is "largely on track". The path combines Hisense volumes, SDA/LDA scaling, and components - all already in production or under construction.
