- Capital raising plan: The ₹1,250 crore equity fundraise resolution is an enabling provision with no immediate plans to raise capital, given a comfortable capital adequacy ratio of 20.6%. Any actual equity raise will only be considered next calendar year depending on internal accruals and growth needs.
- FCNR(B) deposit expansion: The bank is offering a 7.13% interest rate on new 3- to 5-year FCNR(B) deposits to its 20,000 NRI customers, targeting to double its existing $35 million book within three months.
- Universal banking transition: Equitas complies with the RBI's quantitative criteria and is engaging with regulators on qualitative preparedness before formally applying. Long-term FY31 targets remain independent of the universal banking license, though conversion would offer lower capital adequacy requirements and operational benefits.
- Growth and margin guidance: Management reiterated a 20%+ advances growth target and guided for a net interest margin of around 7.1% for the current financial year. Credit costs have normalized as microfinance stress subsided and the microfinance portfolio was reduced to 10% of total advances.
