- NIM expansion targets: Having started the year at around 3.2%, the bank expects net interest margins to reach closer to 3.4% by fiscal year-end, following a non-linear quarterly trajectory of approximately 5 to 6 basis points.
- Deposit and CASA growth: Average CASA grew 23% YoY—led by a 32% surge in average current accounts—while the credit-to-deposit ratio held at a comfortable 86.6%, remaining below the 90% ceiling.
- Gold loan portfolio: Gold loans currently account for 14.5% of the total book, with management comfortable scaling the share up to 20% given low credit losses and a resilient 60% loan-to-value ratio.
- Corporate and business lending: Corporate banking grew 16% YoY through a targeted focus on mid-corporates and broader relationship fee income, whereas business banking growth was intentionally capped at around 7% YoY due to cautious underwriting amid macroeconomic uncertainties.
- FCNR(B) deposit flows: The bank expects to capture its standard ~2.5% market share, noting that inflows are predominantly originating from the Middle East, Singapore, and Hong Kong due to tax frictions in the US, UK, and Australia.
