### **Overview** Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd (GRSE) is a Miniratna Category-I Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Headquartered in Kolkata, GRSE is one of India’s leading warship builders and a key player in the country’s indigenous defense manufacturing ecosystem. With over six decades of experience, GRSE has delivered 109 warships to the Indian Navy and Coast Guard and built more than 790 vessels in total, including commercial ships and defense platforms for export. It operates modern, vertically integrated facilities in Kolkata and Ranchi and is currently executing high-value naval and commercial programs. --- ### **Strategic Focus (2024–2025)** GRSE is undergoing a major strategic transformation, moving beyond traditional warship building to become a diversified **comprehensive maritime solutions provider**.
