Honda India Power Products Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report

as of Jul 2026

  1. Export revenue step-up - Revenue from operations outside India rose to ₹190.25 cr in FY26 from ₹163.46 cr in FY25, after the export business achieved 106% of its plan in FY25. This adds a second demand channel at a scale that already exceeds the company's entire FY26 EBITDA of ₹81.72 cr.
  2. eGX electric motor unit - Shareholders approved altering the Memorandum of Association to permit design, development and production of an advanced Electric Motor Unit branded 'eGX', targeting noise- and emission-sensitive environments like hospitals and residential construction zones. This opens an addressable market the company's combustion-engine portfolio cannot serve, without requiring a separate corporate entity.
  3. HA Plus - local construction products - A new project called HA Plus was initiated in FY25 to launch local products for India's construction market, alongside the existing agricultural focus, as part of the midterm strategy. It ties the company directly to government infrastructure spending at a time when the construction segment is already seeing new engine-driven applications introduced.
  4. Battery-operated handheld equipment (DCHH) - The company launched a battery-operated handheld power equipment line to expand the product portfolio. This creates a presence in cordless equipment, addressing use cases where petrol engines face adoption friction.
  5. Long tail boat and marine applications - The Honda GX powered long tail boat was introduced in March 2025 for coastal areas and inland waterways, while the Company also focused on introducing a dual-fuel (Petrol & CNG) engine for converting diesel boats to CNG under a government pilot in Varanasi. Marine applications open a new vertical with regulatory tailwinds from the Ganga cleanup programme.
  6. E10/E20 gasoline compliance and US regulatory upgrades - The company is adopting a global concept for domestic engines and gensets with E10 gasoline, with a subsequent rollout plan for E20, while upgrading existing generator models to meet EPA/CARB/CPSC/ANSI/PGMA G300 regulations for the US market. Clearing these regulatory gates unlocks continued access to the US market and prepares the domestic portfolio for India's ethanol-blending mandate.
  7. Technology absorption - fuel injection and electrification - Planned technology absorption includes fuel injection systems, inverters and GCU in generators, bluetooth-enabled and CO-sensor integrated models for the US, and integration of electrification technologies into power unit products. These upgrades, sourced from Honda Motor Co. Japan, raise the product specification ceiling and can lift realisations in export and premium domestic segments.
