Jeena Sikho Lifecare is an integrated Ayurvedic hospital company that treats chronic diseases at their root cause rather than just managing symptoms - and it measures itself against mainstream hospital metrics, not alternative-medicine benchmarks. Born from founder Acharya Manish Ji’s personal health struggles and his two-decade immersion in Ayurveda, the business began as a single Chandigarh clinic in 2013 and transformed into a listed hospital chain after opening its first inpatient facility in 2020. The recurring pattern is a capital-light, doctor-driven model where every patient who recovers becomes a lifelong medicine customer, and every medicine customer is a potential hospital admission - a flywheel that funds its own growth without debt.
# Business segments
Two engines that feed each other - a network of Ayurvedic hospitals and clinics that treats patients, and a portfolio of over 330 proprietary medicines those patients take home, each generating roughly half the business and each making the other stronger.
## 1. Ayurveda healthcare services: the hospital network that brings patients in
**A hub-and-spoke network of 117-119 facilities across 23 states treats chronic lifestyle diseases through Panchakarma detoxification, with setup costs roughly one-tenth of an allopathy hospital and break-even at just 35% occupancy.**
- **Cheaper to build than conventional hospitals** - setup cost per bed is only ₹3-4 lakh, compared to ₹50 lakh to ₹1 crore for allopathy hospitals, because Ayurveda needs no expensive imaging machines or surgical theatres.
- **Hub-and-spoke keeps costs low** - large hospitals in big cities act as hubs, while clinics in nearby small towns refer patients to them, so the company gets patient flow without putting a full hospital in every town.
- **Paid by governments and insurers** - the company is empanelled with CGHS, all seven central armed police forces, ECHS, and major insurers like Star Health and HDFC ERGO, meaning patients can pay cashless rather than out-of-pocket.
- **Camps convert visitors into inpatients** - 72-hour health camps generate ₹30-60 lakh each and convert roughly 30% of attendees into hospital admissions, functioning as both a revenue line and a patient-acquisition channel.
- **Doctors stay on payroll even in franchises** - in the 33-35 franchise clinics, the franchisee bears the property cost but the company employs the Ayurveda doctors and supplies the medicines, so clinical quality and product revenue stay in-house.
## 2. Ayurvedic products: the medicines patients take home
**Over 330 proprietary formulations - all patent medicines, not classical ones - are sold to patients leaving hospitals and to outside customers, with gross margins above 85% and manufacturing entirely outsourced.**
- **No factory, no capex** - all manufacturing is done by third-party contractors under loan licenses, so the company avoids tying up capital in plants and carries no manufacturing working-capital burden.
- **The hospital feeds the pharmacy** - every discharged patient leaves with a medicine regimen that generates recurring revenue for months or years, and every medicine customer who calls the support centre is a potential hospital admission.
- **Priced at a seven-times multiple** - the company’s product costing yields a retail price that is about seven times the cost, which is how the vertical sustains its high gross margins.
- **Now reaching patients through Amazon** - a procurement agreement with Theryco Healthcare Solutions in January 2026 authorised listing and selling the company’s products on the Amazon platform, opening a channel beyond its own clinics.
- **Even pets are covered** - the ‘Pet Shuddhi’ line, launched nationally in October 2025, offers Ayurvedic detoxification kits for pets’ stomach, liver, and spleen, backed by clinical validation from the company’s own hospitals.
# Group structure and partners
**A single listed entity with a UAE subsidiary that is already acquiring clinics, a diagnostic partner embedded in every hospital, and a patient-referral collaboration that pays a share of billing.**
- **UAE subsidiary is buying, not just building** - Jeena Sikho International LLC, incorporated in Sharjah in September 2025, has approved the proposal for acquisition of a 51% stake in Back to Roots Ayurveda by Dr. Shyam LLC in Abu Dhabi, with a Share Purchase Agreement yet to be executed.
- **Diagnostics outsourced to one partner** - Chandan Healthcare Limited has a five-year exclusive agreement to set up and run diagnostic centres inside all Jeena Sikho facilities, investing its own capital in equipment and manpower, while Jeena Sikho provides the space and branding.
- **Patient acquisition through a revenue-share deal** - Sat Kartar Life Ltd identifies and funnels patients to Jeena Sikho’s hospitals under a three-year MOU, earning 15% of the bill value on both OPD and IPD cases for as long as the patient remains in active treatment.
- **A green subsidiary that has not yet started** - Jeena Green Resources Private Limited, 51%-owned, was incorporated in March 2025 to make organic manure and cow-urine-based Ayurvedic formulations, but had not commenced business as of its filing date.
