Karamtara Engineering Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Oct 2026
- Bhachau transmission tower ramp - The new Bhachau facility started manufacturing in Q1 FY27 and is expected to hit peak capacity in 6-9 months. Transmission was 13% of Q1 revenue; management aims to mirror solar's climb from ₹20 cr in FY21 to \~₹5,000 cr expected this year.
- Saudi Arabia plant startup - Trials at the multi-product facility are expected in December, with the galvanizing plant online by February or March. Revenue starts next year, ramping over 12-18 months, with strong growth guided for FY28.
- IPO proceeds debt paydown - The ₹1,750 cr IPO listed September 17, 2026, with fresh issue proceeds earmarked for deployment; management expects interest cost to further decline. Lower interest on ₹1,105 cr debt directly lifts PAT, which grew 45% YoY in the latest quarter.
- PEB facility for data centers - The Bhachau PEB plant is expected ready by the beginning of FY27, with revenue beginning next year and a larger ramp the year after. Existing large clients pushed entry over the last 6-9 months, and margins are guided similar to other businesses.
- Steel melting backward integration - An integrated steel plant recycling scrap for captive use is planned, supporting ESG and CBAM compliance for European exports. Captive steel cuts input costs and reduces dependence on external galvanization supplies, directly expanding margins.
- Wind tower fungibility - Bhachau wind tower capacity is fungible with transmission tower manufacturing, and wind towers were 2% of Q1 FY27 revenue. This lets the company shift capacity to the higher-demand transmission line as that ramp accelerates.
- Defence subsidiary incorporation - On October 17, 2026, the Board approved a wholly owned subsidiary for defence, aerospace, and engineering. This opens a new end-market adjacent to existing fabrication and welding capabilities, with no capex disclosed yet.
- Fasteners capacity expansion - A fair amount of capex is going into fasteners, which were 5% of Q1 FY27 revenue. Fasteners serve solar, wind, transmission, bridges, and railways, giving diversified demand across all growth segments.
