Laxmi Dental Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report

as of Aug 2026

  1. Palghar owned facility - Laxmi Dental has signed an LOI to buy land in Palghar and build a facility nearly 3x current size, replacing two leased premises costing \~₹2 cr/year rent. Owning instead of renting cuts fixed costs permanently and removes the main space bottleneck for domestic lab and aligner growth.
  2. US tariff relief - US tariffs on exports fell from \~50% to 25% in Q3 FY26, with one shipment already billed at the lower rate; the effective rate had been \~55-56%. The tariff had weighed \~150 bps on Q3 FY26 EBITDA margin, so its reversal flows straight to profitability on the 20% of revenue that comes from the US.
  3. Intraoral scanner deployment - The company is on track to deploy 800-1,000 scanners in FY27, with an installed base of 1,000-1,500 and a target of 5,000 in two years. Scanner-linked dentists grow faster than non-scanner dentists, and domestic lab growth is expected to accelerate as deployments mature over 6-12 months.
  4. International lab expansion - International lab business grew 37.4% YoY in Q1 FY27, after 40.9% in Q4 FY26 and 39.2% in Q2 FY26; management guides 20-25% international growth going forward. New geographies are added every quarter through a pilot-to-scale funnel, and the EU FTA is expected to open advanced medical markets further.
  5. Aligner solutions growth - Aligner revenue grew 28.6% YoY in Q1 FY27, with Bizdent up 27.8% and Vedia up 29.3%; FY26 aligner revenue grew \~8x over FY22-26 to ₹39.4 cr. Capacity utilisation is only \~70%, so volume growth needs no new capex, and Vedia's margin has headroom from 23.6% toward 30%+.
  6. Kids-e-Dental CE certification - CE clearance is expected to open \~40 European countries, with the application already filed and under review by German regulators; a global distribution deal covering 81 countries is signed. Kids-e-Dental grew 54.4% YoY in Q1 FY27, and Europe approval would add a large new market on top of the 61% of revenue already coming from international sales.
  7. Bizdent amalgamation - The board approved merging wholly-owned Bizdent into Laxmi Dental on 26 Mar 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. The merger eliminates inter-company transactions and compliance costs, and simplifies the structure ahead of scaling the aligner business.
  8. AI Dent investment - The company completed its 49% stake acquisition in AI Dent on 19 Sep 2025, with the AI-powered dental imaging product expected to launch in FY26. AI crowns are already in beta, and management sees the current 19.2% margin as maintainable or higher as AI-led automation scales.
  9. IDS participation - The company will exhibit at the International Dental Show, the world's premier dental exhibition, toward end of FY27. The event is the primary platform to showcase products to global labs and distributors, supporting the international expansion that is already growing \~37%.
