Lotus Chocolate Company Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Jul 2026
- B2B volume and realisation step-change - In FY25, B2B volume rose to 9,079 tonnes (from 7,798 tonnes) and average realisation jumped to ₹620/kg (from ₹249/kg), driving segment value to ₹563 crore. This lifts the core earnings base roughly threefold year-on-year, with the higher-margin cocoa mass and butter lines now contributing the bulk of revenue.
- B2C omni-channel build-out - The company expanded its consumer range in FY25, grew B2C volume to 500 tonnes (from 161 tonnes), and began placing products in general trade, modern retail, Reliance Smart Points, and Metro Cash & Carry. A direct retail presence opens a higher-margin, brand-driven revenue stream that de-risks the business from pure commodity B2B cycles.
- Reliance Consumer Products as promoter - Effective 1 December 2025, Reliance Consumer Products Limited (New RCPL) became the 51% promoter and holding company, with Reliance Industries as the ultimate parent. Access to the Reliance retail ecosystem and distribution muscle can accelerate B2C shelf-space and scale in a way the company could not achieve independently.
- Bollaram plant capacity assessment - On 21 February 2026, the company initiated a detailed review of the legacy Bollaram plant’s layout, machinery, and equipment, which currently produces choco chips and slabs for B2B customers. A systematic capacity audit is the necessary first step to debottleneck or expand the plant, which would directly lift output of the high-volume B2B product lines.
- Affordable-chocolate market gap - Management notes that premiumisation by international players has left a void in the affordable chocolate segment, which it intends to fill with high-quality, lower-price-point brands. A successful entry into this underserved mass-market segment can add a large-volume B2C revenue layer on top of the existing B2B base.
- Leadership build-out for confectionery scale-up - A new Whole-time Director with leadership experience at Wrigley, Mars, and Reliance Consumer Products was appointed in July 2025, and B2C headcount grew by 41 in FY25. Installing a team with multinational confectionery experience signals a serious organisational commitment to scaling the consumer business beyond its current 500-tonne base.
