Mangalam Cement Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report

as of Jul 2026

  1. Aligarh grinding unit commissioned - On 31 March 2026 the company added 1.20 MTPA of new grinding capacity at Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, taking the unit to 1.95 MTPA and total grey cement capacity to 5.60 MTPA. This immediately lifts saleable volumes from a fully built, revenue-ready asset in a key northern market.
  2. Morak brownfield grinding expansion - A 1.50 MTPA brownfield grinding expansion is underway at Morak, Kota, Rajasthan, with ₹700 cr capex and completion targeted by end-FY27. The project raises total cement capacity to 6.00 MTPA against unchanged clinker capacity of 3.00 MTPA, adding high-return grinding volumes that management expects will lift group ROCE to 14-15% and ROE to 12-13% by FY27.
  3. Premium cement mix shift - Management targets increasing the share of premium cement to 25% of total sales by FY27, up from 18% in FY25. A richer product mix widens per-tonne realisations and margins on the expanded 6.00 MTPA base.
  4. Cost reduction via alternative fuels - The company aims to cut power and fuel costs by 5% in FY26 and raise the alternative fuels and raw materials share to 10% of the fuel mix by FY27, from 5% in FY25. Lower fuel cost per tonne directly expands the 11-12% operating margin seen in recent quarters.
  5. Dealer network expansion - Management targets adding 200 new dealers in FY26. A wider distribution footprint helps place the incremental volumes from Aligarh and the upcoming Morak expansion without price dilution.
  6. Export sales push - The company aims to lift export volumes to 5% of total sales by FY27, from 2% in FY25. Exports offer a demand diversification channel that can absorb surplus production as domestic capacity ramps up.
