- IPO proceeds utilization: Manipal Health will use ₹6,000–₹6,500 crore of its ₹8,000 crore fresh issue to prepay debt taken for the Sahyadri acquisition, leaving ₹1,500 crore to bolster cash reserves.
- Deleveraging and liquidity: With current gross debt at ₹10,000 crore and cash at ₹2,500 crore, the primary issuance will make the company net-debt zero while providing ₹4,000 crore in total cash for future growth or further repayments.
- Capacity expansion plans: The company aims to add approximately 3,000 beds across greenfield and brownfield projects over the next three years at an estimated cost of ₹4,000 crore, financed via internal accruals.
- Sahyadri integration strategy: Growth in Maharashtra includes a new 475-bed hospital in Pune, an additional tower at Deccan Gymkhana, and oncology expansions at Nashik and Ahilyanagar supported by capital investment in IT and technology.
- ARPOB protection approach: Rather than relying on price hikes, the company plans to sustain its ₹66,000 average revenue per operating bed in Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets by shifting toward more complex procedures and high-end specialties like cardiology, neurology, and oncology.
