Maxvolt Energy Industries Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Jul 2026
- Group revenue growth guide - Management guided “least” 50-70% revenue growth in FY27 off an FY26 base of ₹297 cr, implying FY27 revenue of roughly ₹445-505 cr. That scale, if delivered, would nearly double the company’s current market capitalisation-to-revenue multiple and materially lift operating leverage on the fixed-cost base.
- Ghaziabad Phase 2 to 35,000 batteries/month - Phase 2 is expected to be operational by October-November of this financial year (FY26), taking total plant capacity to 35,000 batteries per month with total capex of \~₹75 cr for Phase 1 + Phase 2. Management estimates the 35,000 battery/month capacity can generate ₹1,000-1,100 cr in revenue - roughly 3.5× FY26 revenue - and the automatic line capex of \~₹31 cr is already defined.
- Aligarh recycling Phase 1 - black mass revenue - Phase 1 of the Aligarh recycling plant (7,600 MT crushing capacity, capex \~₹74-75 cr) is expected to generate ₹225-250 cr of revenue from black mass sales at an 18-20% EBITDA margin, with construction starting August 2026. At the guided margin, Phase 1 alone could add ₹40-50 cr of EBITDA - more than the company’s entire FY26 EBITDA of ₹35.6 cr.
- E-rickshaw segment scaling with regulatory tailwind - E-rickshaw revenue grew 5,564% YoY to ₹22 cr in FY26, L5 approval has been received from ICAT, and government mandates require e-rickshaws to shift from lead-acid to lithium batteries from April 2028. The regulatory clock creates a defined replacement window across India’s large e-rickshaw parc, and Maxvolt is already shipping L3, L4, and L5 products with good market response.
- ESS segment scaling to megawatt-level projects - ESS revenue grew 537% YoY to ₹21.4 cr in FY26, and after Phase 2 factory operations the company will expand to megawatt-level container solutions, with ESS retail gross margins of \~25-26%. ESS carries the highest gross margin in the portfolio, so as its revenue share rises from 7.2% today, the blended margin profile improves.
- Warrant issue funds the recycling build-out - In-principle approval from NSE was received on 16 February 2026 for a preferential issue of 9,61,822 convertible warrants at ₹440 each, aggregating up to ₹42.3 cr. The ₹42 cr inflow directly supports the Aligarh recycling capex without adding debt, preserving the comfortable gearing of 0.3-0.5× that CRISIL estimates for March 2026.
- Dealer network density catching up to incumbents - The dealer-distributor network expanded to 875+ in FY26 from 620 in FY25 and 239 in FY24, while management benchmarks against Exide’s \~174,000 and Amaron’s \~140,000 dealers. Every additional dealer adds a distribution point in a replacement market that is still only around 4% to 5%, leaving a long runway for higher-margin replacement sales.
- IIT Delhi and IIT Roorkee BMS partnerships - MoUs signed with IIT Delhi (April 2026) and IIT Roorkee (February 2026) for co-development of AI-enabled Battery Management Systems across EV and energy storage applications, with IP assigned to Maxvolt on funded projects. Proprietary smart BMS differentiates Maxvolt’s packs in a market where most competitors buy off-the-shelf BMS, supporting pricing power and OEM stickiness.
