MRF Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Jul 2026
- Greenfield plant at Sivaganga - MRF signed an MoU with the Tamil Nadu government on 4 Mar 2026 for a greenfield automotive tyre facility at SIPCOT Sivaganga, with an estimated investment of ₹5,300 cr over 12 years. The project adds a new manufacturing geography to the existing plant network, creating the physical capacity to serve replacement, OEM, and export demand that current expansions alone cannot meet.
- Export scale-up into Europe and new markets - FY25 export turnover grew 23% to ₹2,307 cr, with the company now targeting further inroads into Europe and North & West Africa after showcasing new European-market products at Tire Cologne in June 2024. Government trade agreements being finalised with the EU and US can accelerate this trajectory, and the newly incorporated UAE trading subsidiary MRFDB-FZCO provides a direct distribution foothold in the Middle East.
- OEM fitment gains in SUVs and EVs - MRF increased sales to OEMs in SUVs and EVs at a significantly faster pace and is now an OE fitment supplier to many of India's top selling vehicle models, and supplies tyres to all major OEMs in commercial, passenger, and 2/3 wheeler EV segments. Higher OE fitment share locks in future replacement demand, since a tyre fitted on the assembly line strongly influences the consumer's replacement purchase.
- Replacement-market demand tailwind from GST reduction - Demand buoyancy from the GST rate reduction continued into Q4 FY26, lifting both replacement and OE sales, with rural markets also picking up on the back of good monsoons. A sustained replacement-market upcycle directly benefits MRF given its position as the most preferred aftermarket brand across passenger, tractor, and commercial-vehicle segments.
- Ongoing plant capacity expansion - Contracts remaining to be executed on capital account stand at ₹714 cr, down from ₹1,334 cr the previous year, indicating that a large portion of the current expansion cycle is nearing completion. As these projects are commissioned, the resulting capacity unlocks volume growth across replacement, OEM, and export channels without the step-up in capex intensity that a greenfield project requires.
- UHP and acoustic-foam tyre leadership - MRF launched India's first 20-inch Ultra High Performance tyre with Acoustic Foam Technology for low noise, alongside new SKUs in passenger and two-wheeler categories in FY26. First-mover launches in premium, technology-intensive segments support pricing power and reinforce the brand premium that underpins MRF's aftermarket dominance.
