Nandan Denim Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Jul 2026
- Wind-solar hybrid captive power - The board approved a 6.1% stake in a 23.1 MW wind / 25 MW DC solar group captive plant, securing 4.3 MW of power under a 25-year PPA at a competitive rate, with completion expected by 30 June 2026. Locking in below-grid renewable power for a quarter-century directly lifts margins at the Bareja plant, where power is a large cost line.
- Value-added denim innovation - The in-house R&D team is rolling out super-stretch, two-way stretch, and new colour denim ranges, alongside a ‘ready-to-stitch & wear’ concept that saves laundry water. Differentiated products command better pricing and margins than commodity grey fabric, which dominates the current mix.
- Sustainable fibre blends and circularity - The company is developing a sustainable range using Tencel, rayon, and Exell, plus high-performance regenerated fibres with moisture management to promote circularity. These products align with shifting buyer preferences toward eco-friendly denim and open doors to premium retail programmes.
- Indigo in ethnic and formal wear - Nandan Denim is exploring new applications for indigo beyond traditional denim, targeting ethnic and formal wear segments. Success here expands the addressable market into adjacent apparel categories using existing dyeing and finishing know-how.
- Energy-efficiency capex at the plant level - Planned equipment upgrades-high-efficiency air compressors, plate heat exchangers, and inverter drives-are expected to save ₹24.26 lakh per year. While small in absolute terms, these projects signal a systematic cost-out discipline that compounds across a ₹3,500-crore revenue base.
- Omni-channel and digital push - The company plans to strengthen brand identity through an omni-channel approach and accelerated digital adoption, leveraging e-commerce growth. A direct-to-consumer or digital-first brand presence could capture margin currently ceded to intermediaries.
