NESCO Ltd Business Overview - SOIC x StockScans Report

as of Jul 2026

Nesco Limited is a 1939-born Indian conglomerate that began as an engineering company building India’s first space-communication antenna and has since turned a single 70-acre plot in Mumbai into a self-sustaining commercial ecosystem - offices, exhibition halls, restaurants, and event spaces that feed each other - while staying entirely debt-free and funding every new venture from its own cash flows. The recurring pattern is simple: the company uses the steady rental income from its IT Park to build and run adjacent businesses on the same campus, then takes the hospitality and operational skills honed there and applies them to new frontiers like highway rest stops. That is how a foundry operator became one of India’s largest private exhibition-venue owners without ever borrowing a rupee.

Business segments

Five engines at different stages - a hydrocarbon-free real-estate cash cow, two consumer platforms at national scale, a niche industrial-capital-goods maker, and a highway-infrastructure bet under construction - each built with the cash flows of the one before.

1. IT Park: the group’s dependable rent engine

Two fully leased Grade-A office towers on the Western Express Highway in Mumbai collect predictable, long-term rents from 26 global tenants - and a third tower roughly three times their combined size is about to break ground.

2. Bombay Exhibition Centre: the country’s largest private exhibition venue

Six air-conditioned halls on the same Goregaon campus host over 100 trade shows a year - from gems and jewellery to plastics machinery - drawing more than two million visitors annually.

3. Nesco Foods: the campus kitchen that became a city-wide hospitality business

What started as the canteen for the IT Park and exhibition halls now runs the largest non-flight kitchen in Mumbai, 12 restaurants, outdoor catering across nine states, and its own packaged-water brand - all under one division.

4. Indabrator: a 60-year-old surface-preparation specialist

One of the few Indian manufacturers that designs shot-blasting machines, makes its own abrasives, and casts its own wear parts under one roof - serving railways, defence, and steel plants from two Gujarat factories.

5. Wayside Amenities: the highway pit-stop bet

Nesco is taking its food, retail, and hospitality playbook beyond Mumbai and onto India’s expressways, building roadside plazas with fuel, food courts, dormitories, and EV charging on long-term government leases.

Group structure and partners

Nesco Limited is the single listed entity with all operating businesses run as divisions; the only active subsidiary is a newly incorporated vehicle for the highway venture.
