Northern Arc Capital Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Aug 2026
- D2C lending scale-up - D2C AUM crossed ₹10,000 crore in Q1 FY27, up 50% YoY, and management targets raising its mix from 59% to 65% of total AUM. The segment already contributes 64% of AUM, so continued 40%-plus growth in the largest book drives overall portfolio expansion.
- Consumer finance engine - Consumer finance AUM grew 66% YoY to ₹5,802 crore in Q1 FY27, with 19 live partners and 25,000-26,000 loans underwritten daily. At \~4% return on assets and 15-16% risk-adjusted yield, this is the highest-ROA book scaling fastest.
- Rural finance recovery - Rural finance hit its highest-ever quarterly disbursement of ₹328 crore in Q1 FY27, with AUM up 26% YoY to \~₹1,200 crore after multiple quarters of decline. Credit costs have fallen from 6.7% to 4.9% in FY26, so the rebuilt book flows through at improving margins.
- MSME secured lending - MSME finance grew \~40% YoY to ₹3,761 crore, driven by 17 new branches in FY26 and 90 branches now operating. At 17-19% yields on secured LAP with 99.4% collection efficiency, this book scales profitably without credit deterioration.
- YES BANK partnership - Signed an MoU with YES BANK on 15 June 2026 to deploy credit through Northern Arc's 368 originator partners and integrate nPOS, Nimbus, NuScore, and Altifi into YES BANK's 1,583-branch network. This opens a large distribution channel for fee-based products - placements, funds, and retail bonds - without balance-sheet deployment.
- Fund management expansion - SEBI approved two new funds in Q1 FY27: a ₹2,000 crore diversified debt fund and the Northern Arc Saving Plus Fund, taking fund AUM to \~₹3,000 crore. Management's "fund first" approach shifts growth toward capital-light fee income.
- Altifi retail bonds - Altifi crossed 1 lakh subscribers with volumes more than doubling YoY to over ₹315 crore in Q1 FY27. The platform's 9-14% fixed-return products and planned integration with YES BANK's wealth ecosystem give it a new distribution channel.
- nPOS platform monetization - nPOS has processed ₹43,800 crore cumulatively across 2.9 crore loans with 164 merchants, and management is expanding SaaS offerings for it and NuScore. Platform fees carry no credit risk and scale with partner adoption.
