Omnitech Engineering is an export-led precision manufacturer that makes the metal components global industrial companies cannot afford to fail - parts for oilfield tools, wind turbines, factory robots and aircraft ground equipment where a flaw measured in microns can shut down a rig or a production line. It began in 2007 as a small partnership in Rajkot, Gujarat, shipped its first export to the United States that same year, and spent the next two decades turning that early export instinct into a qualification-driven factory that now supplies over 256 customers across 24 countries. The recurring approach is to win a global OEM’s trust on one safety-critical part, then methodically take on the customer’s entire product basket - adding machining, certified threading, plating, welding, assembly and testing under one roof so the customer has no reason to look elsewhere.
Business segments
Three engines serving the same customer type in the same way - energy, motion control and industrial equipment - plus an early-stage defence and aerospace bet, all running on one precision-manufacturing backbone.
1. Energy: the repeat-order engine that pays the bills
Oil and gas components are consumables that wear out from sand and impurities, so customers reorder the same parts year after year - and Omnitech holds the API certifications that make switching suppliers painful.
- Consumables, not exploration kit - most energy revenue comes from operation and maintenance parts that must be replaced periodically, not from one-off capital equipment tied to drilling cycles, which makes demand steadier and more predictable.
- API-certified threading is the barrier - the Chhapara facility holds four American Petroleum Institute certifications (including API Spec Q1 and API 5CT), and customers in oil and gas will not source safety-critical threaded components from a shop that lacks them.
- One contract, five years of visibility - a master purchase agreement signed with Weatherford in March 2026 locks in roughly INR 920 crore plus tax over five years, giving the segment a multi-year base load that smaller competitors cannot match.
- Marquee names, sticky relationships - the customer list includes Schlumberger, Halliburton and Weatherford, all of whom run long qualification cycles before onboarding a new supplier and face high switching costs once a part is qualified.
2. Motion control and automation: precision parts for the machines that move everything
Every electric motor, hydraulic valve and factory sensor needs metal components machined to near-perfect tolerances - and Omnitech already makes them for the OEMs that dominate the category.
- Five microns, in-house plating - the company machines to 0.005 mm and runs its own phosphating, copper, zinc and electroless nickel plating lines, so it controls the full quality chain on components where surface finish is as critical as dimensional accuracy.
- Process engineering as a service - an in-house team of over 30 engineers designs the manufacturing process for each customer SKU before cutting metal, which means Omnitech sells a production solution rather than just machine-shop hours.
- Direct to OEM, no intermediaries - every sale in this segment goes straight to the equipment maker, so Omnitech builds relationships with the engineering teams that specify components, not with distributors who can switch on price.
3. Industrial equipment: heavy fabrication meets high precision
When an aerospace ground-support vehicle or a construction machine needs a welded-and-machined assembly up to 10 metres long, Omnitech can fabricate it, surface-treat it and deliver it fully assembled.
- Big parts, small tolerances - the company handles components from 3 grams to over 500 kilograms and jobs up to 10 metres in size, which lets it serve customers who need both heavy structural fabrications and finely machined mating surfaces in the same assembly.
- Fabrication capacity that feeds assembly - the Padavala facility runs an annualised fabrication line of 7,200 metric tonnes, giving the segment the in-house welding and fabrication muscle to supply complete assemblies rather than loose piece-parts.
- Design-to-inspect under one roof - the workflow spans 2D-to-3D design conversion, machining, fabrication, surface treatment, assembly, testing and quality inspection, so the customer receives a finished, tested component without having to coordinate multiple vendors.
4. Defence and aerospace: the certification bet for the next decade
Omnitech has won its first development orders and secured the AS9100 aerospace quality certification; it is now pursuing the specialised process approvals that would let it supply flight-critical parts.
- First Article orders are the door-opener - four development orders in defence and aerospace mean the company is now producing sample parts for customer approval, the mandatory first step before any production contract can be awarded.
- AS9100 certified, NADCAP in progress - the Metoda and Chhapara plants already hold the aerospace quality management certification, and the company has begun the NADCAP process for surface treatment, non-destructive testing and welding, which are the process-specific approvals aerospace primes demand.
- An export defence order already on the books - the segment is not purely aspirational; it has secured at least one defence export contract, proving the certification effort is translating into revenue.
Group structure and partners
A Gujarat-based parent with three factories, a Houston warehouse subsidiary that shortens delivery times for American customers, and a management team that has been with the business since its partnership days.
- Three Rajkot factories - the registered office and Factory-1 sit in the Metoda GIDC estate, Factory-2 is in Chhapara village, and a third facility operates at Padavala, all within the Rajkot industrial cluster.
- Houston warehouse via a US subsidiary - wholly-owned Omnitech Group Inc. runs a warehouse in Houston, Texas, which lets the company hold inventory close to its largest export market and respond faster than shipping from India alone.
- A second subsidiary for future diversification - Novatro Techsolutions Private Limited was incorporated in FY2025, though its operational purpose is not yet disclosed in the available filings.
- Founder-led, second-generation involvement - the business is managed by Chairman and Managing Director Udaykumar Parekh alongside Whole-time Director and CFO Paras Parekh and Chief Revenue Officer Bhavin Acharya.
