Pakka Ltd Growth Catalysts - SOIC x StockScans Report
as of Aug 2026
- PM4 flexible base paper start-up - PM4 is scheduled to start up in November 2026, with commercial production stabilising around January 2027; the machine adds roughly 30,000-40,000 tonnes of annual capacity for flexible base paper. At 60-70% utilisation in FY27-28, management expects additional revenue of ₹175-200 crore, lifting consolidated revenue toward ₹700 crore.
- flexC base pilot and launch - European pilot trials on a machine replicating PM4 are scheduled for September 2026, with a distributor soft launch in October. Success would move Pakka from commodity base paper into release paper and glassine priced at ₹130-150 per kg versus ₹110-120 for normal base paper.
- UP subsidy award - The UP Cabinet approved a Letter of Comfort on 23 March 2026 for fiscal incentives of ₹224.47 crore under the state investment policy, payable over 15 years from commercial production. That is roughly ₹15 crore annually against FY26 EBITDA of ₹40 crore, dropping straight to the bottom line.
- Food Services break-even and outsourcing - Food Services Q1 FY27 revenue grew 34% YoY to ₹18.45 crore, with B2B up 46%; management targets break-even in FY27 after nearly a decade of losses. The division is pursuing an asset-light model and building outsourced capacity to meet demand while limiting capital investment, with incremental production from outsourced sites expected to generate stronger gross margins.
- Delivery containers launch - The first delivery-container facility, including the coating system, has been ordered and is expected in place by the next investor call; trials with a large food-service customer showed food quality better than plastic, with the customer accepting a 40-50% price premium. Initial investment is under ₹2 crore, with proprietary barrier-coating know-how kept in-house.
- PM3 upgrade - PM3 modification was completed in the fourth week of June, adding 10 tonnes per day of capacity and an expected \~₹8 crore PBT boost. The machine contributes \~50% of total volume, so the incremental output flows through an already-stabilised asset.
- Neo Group refinancing - The ₹540 crore NCD issue at an effective 16.95% replaces bank debt, with total interest outflow estimated at ₹120-122 crore versus ₹150-155 crore under the earlier structure. Management expects to retire the debt in 16-18 months once PM4 stabilises, releasing pledged promoter shares and cutting finance costs.
- Wrap & Carry export recovery - Q1 FY27 Wrap & Carry revenue rose 43% YoY to ₹101.14 crore, with PBT up 45%; exports account for \~27% of revenue. Net sales realisation is recovering as delayed export containers clear, with management expanding into new countries and applications.
